I would trade Tobias and Simmons this off-season. Resign Green for bench role for vet minimum. Curry is locked with his contract. Fix the bench somehow and don't trade Maxey or Matisse

Imo, in order of what happens this season:

1. Ben gets traded
2. They find a decent back up PG, Brunson type
3. They get a center who can play playoff minutes

I think Dwight basically drops down to the Mike Scott role, Hill is prolly gone, and Maxey/Kork end up as part of potential trades. Tobias (unfortunately) and Joel are the only guys certain to be back imo

Think a star for star swap is more than impossible at this point. Wizards are actually retarded with their perception of their core, but they still wouldn’t bite on Beal/one of those rotation guys for Beal BEFORE this. Idk who you’re gonna get better than Beal for him, without doing a blockbuster, him and Seth and one of the rotational guys in like a 3 trade thing

I personally think they end up moving him for one tier 3 “star” ala Hardaway, CJ tier and a couple solid rotational dudes. You’re moving too far backwards if you gotta up him and Seth imo

cursed with idiotic coaching and a pg who has no sense of urgency I’m honestly not mad at Ben, I’m mad at myself for believing Tobias had turned a corner and became a reliable 2nd scorer. I’m mad that I thought Ben would play aggressive, I’m mad that I thought Doc would learn not to empty the bench in the playoffs… I was wrong this was a piss poor coached series with the exception of game 3. Doc has looked like Brett Brown with these dumb timeouts and rotations

To me, the bigger issue is that he was riding these vets out seed chasing like Bucks used to. Joe, Tucker, GLeague dudes shoulda got some more burn to show if they can do anything at that backup guard spot. Maxey has zero ability to be a facilitator as of rn. Our bench is pretty much all guards and we still don’t have guard answers. How does that happen.

they at least had to put more of a priority on getting a backup facilitator than 40 year old George Hill (who’s not really a play maker at this stage anyway)
