If they win the lottery, SGA is a secondary facilitator to Cade, and whether he translates as a PG to the NBA is TBD.

What I'm saying is that OKC is kinda turning into basketball rehab for guys since all they work on is player development, and since nobody thinks they'll ever cash out for a superstar or use all those picks, might as well use it on Ben Simmons. It's a no lose situation. If he doesn't fix his issues, Presti got a war chest of assets to replace him. He doesn't hurt their cap, but if he fixes him, Simmons will be in OKC for life all while pissing off the rest of the league.
Off rip? I don't think they'd do SGA like that initially. I really don't think Cade is that nikka as a PG, but we'll see

We're saying the same thing, my only thing is I don't think they'd do that for Ben. There's so many guys in the league who have a higher floor (and lower ceiling) to continue that streak...if Ben ends up being bad at his last stop, he's going to have like 3 more seasons as the worst contract in the league, and he's not a great locker room guy from what I hear. It might just be splitting crosshairs, but I don't think they get him unless they lean towards he's gonna be that nikka for em

Either way, I don't think it'd be the worst thing for them to do him on a basketball tip. I think they gotta involve a 3rd team and probably wave another one of their young cats out though..Bazley?

Off the court stuff aside, he needs to see a shrink Space Jam style. The cost for OKC wouldn't be prohibitive, especially if the collateral is a PG who we already know ain't part of their future plans anyway. If they rehabilitate him offensively and more teams want him, then OKC will just sell high like they did with CP3, but if they fix Ben, that's a W for them.

Besides, getting traded is the kind of shyt that makes you reevaluate everything you're doing.

I can’t think of a single good trade for Ben Simmons at the moment when you consider his contract…..We might be stuck with dude :mjcry:

The craziest shyt is that Morey recognized that this nikka had to go from the jump. His literal first big move was gonna be dishing this nikka. He tried at least 3 different times.

My personal beliefs:
1. Ben just played his last game, regardless of what they give for him. there are nikkas coming out of college rn that are better players than him. A high 1st is valuable here
2. They push for Rick Carlisle
3. At least 5 different nikkas from the rotation ain't here next season
Would you entertain a trade with the Warriors? Who have Wiggins as a money match, and 2 lottery picks……I’m in no way saying that they should do this, but I’m having troubles finding a team that could use Ben and still be contenders

I hate Joel gotta finally be that Luka, LeBron, Dame etc type that uses their weight to make rules, but I have never heard of any move being made in this organization that asked for his inclusion or say-so. Dude almost stole the ROTY in 1/3rd of the games everyone else played, has been the best center in basketball for 3 straight seasons, and nikkas ain't even ask him for his opinion on moves. I hope he comes up to Morey tonight and throws his demands on the table or says he's out

all the great ones do.

I remember hearing they consulted him with the coach hiring as he has concerns that Lue would be too Ben friendly. But yeah he needs to be involved in all player moves going forward. He probably has 2-3 more years at this level. It’s time to go all in on a contender.

I knew they would bait me into watching a game 7 by winning game 6

I told my bro that after game 5 and it happened just like I said it would

They don't just kill you but they kill you the slowest and most painful way possible

Poole looked really enticing last season. Idk if it’s something they can do unless they plan on getting a stretch 5, as Dray AND Ben is redundant, but you could do worse than Poole, Wigs maybe a first somewhere

I’m not letting Doc off the hook. He legit looked worse than Brett this playoff series. And I understood it from Joel but Doc shytting on Ben was weak.
I think Morey hired dude bc he seemed sold on the idea of him willing to modernize the team, but they certainly didn’t look very modernized this series.

I really don’t see anyway they don’t offer Carlisle whatever they can afford. He was willing to listen to Dallas’s GM Haralbob who has a similar ideology as Morey did in Houston. He did a really poor job of optimizing Porzingis in the paint, but idk how much of that was KP vs Rick

Doc came here before Morey and Doc is being paid 50 million. You know how cheap these owners are he’s not going anywhere. If he were Rick wouldn’t be on my list of replacements.
