Honestly. I’m not even sure some of these teams want him. Especially with the backgrounds the teams do if he’s known as being selfish, uncoachable, and just not a player they want around I can see some teams passing on him…Like we get Ben doesn’t want to shoot but if they hear that he’s a bad teammate teams may be further turned off of trading positive assets for him.

The only thing I think he’s wrong about, and a lot of these athletes fall for this, is that these hack radio host, specifically on WIP, speak for majority of the fan base… Butch from manayunk, and john from havertown as callers, and Angelo cataldi and Howard eskin as host, don’t speak for the fanbase at all… all they care about is attention and hot topics to get callersHe’s not wrong in anything he’s saying

But even the more level headed reporters or radio heads were trashing Embiid last yr. Like Gargano saying on air “he needs to just shut the bleep up and play basketball”. Dei Lynam saying prior to the bubble that Ben will be prepared she has no questions at all about him but doesn’t expect much from Joel. Now this past season everyone of them acted like they didn’t turn their back on him then. Joel saw and heard all of this and see they are now doing the same to Ben
it may be more warranted for Ben but there are some insanely bad fans in the city lol. We’ve all seen some of the coded racist stuff thrown at McNabb, Jimmy Rollins, and Ryan Howard in the past.

Totally right… I guess with the mild ones, even those criticisms don’t seem like personal vendettas unlike the extreme ones mentioned (not just radio big wigs, but Saturday slot minions somehow come out bigger, and let’s not even mention Marcus hayes, and the joke of written media now in town.).
