I’ve heard far worse. Swizz made a lot of dope shyt, but it has to be tailored to the artist. A lot of cats don’t know how to ride his beats, which leads people to panning his production instead of noticing how his unconventional sound requires a delicate balance.

We Are The Streets is one of the dopest rap albums ever made, and it’s not just because of the Lox.

Most of his late 90s/early 2000s beats aged horribly.

:what: Grease was coming off its dark and hell is hot

He should have been the go to producer at the time. Jah wanted him for Vol 2 but Dee & Wah gave him their nephew Swizzy instead :dead:

Rest is history I guess

Truth.

Grease was getting a lot of work after the first X album, most notably with Nas, Fat Joe, Nore, Cam, and CNN. Dude even got a label deal just off of working on IDAHIH. That's back when producers would get deals right after working on mad successful albums. I loved what he did on the first X joint and the stuff he did after with X, but I understood why Swizz was at the helm at the time. His shyt with X was undeniable back then. They were at their best together.

the big signature hit from IDAHIH was produced by swizz.
swizz gave jay "money, cash hoes" and a bunch of other hits.

where were all of dame grease's hits??
who was stoppin jay from working with grease after volume 2??
X went back and got grease on the 3rd album. nobody even talks about those cuts.
how come yall never post about vacant lot or any of that stuff??

Get At Me Dog, Stop Being Greedy, and my fav Ninjas Done Started Somethin.

To me, they pretty much didn't reward Dame for his work on It's Dark...and shelved him after that
"Yeah, thanks for what you did for X for album 1 earlier this year, but we're giving album 2 to Swizz." How does that even make sense?

I don’t get the hate. I mean dude has a lot of very, very annoying beats but he’s also made so many dope ones

ive been dying to hear chuck d on swizz production for years now. a lot of his beats are noisy and remind me a lot of prime bomb squad

that joint he wasted with eve would make the craziest PE song
