And a lot of games don't support HDR on pc.

I'm actually selling a system with two 1080s in sli. You'll be set. If you're interested PM me. The machine is a monster at 1080p/all ultra/60fps and can do 1440p/ultra/60 fps (with compromises, but very little; There's still the bad ports though. Can't get around that shyt). And you can definitely do sli and make it work for you too, if the devs support it. I'll give a coli discount too. But, be warned, we're over $1K now.

No you can on certain games. It just depends on your resolution. 1080p/60fps/ultra on a 1080 will do you just fine. If you wanna jump to all ultra, 1440p or 4K, you gotta buy a 1080ti though.

The GTX 1080 is overkill for 1080p, it's a 1440p 144Hz card.

A 1080 is perfectly fine for 1440p, especially a 144hz 1440p panel

Stop chasing "Ultra". Most of the ultra setting aren't even differential from high, you're just taking a performance hit for penis swinging contests.

This. Dudes muddying the waters by always talking max settings as if there's some extreme difference. Most of the time it's shyt you have to stop and pause to see and often isn't worth the 10+fps hit.

You do realize that upgrading past the 1070 calibre will cost more than a console by itself
