I bought a brand new car during presidents day sale for 10k under msrp, cheaper than cpo snd non-cpo models 2-3 years older

Everyone will say buy used, but also pay attention to car sales. Sometimes the cashback is stupid high.
Thats a good ass deal.

Depending on the deal, buying new isnt as bad ppl make it out to be.
whatd you get for 10 under? just outta curiousity

im wondering if the price was just artificially inflated :dead: that seems like a lotta wiggle room. or maybe if you bought it at the end of the year when they're trying to "move the cars to make way for new ones" is a good time too

buying a brand new car would be dope as fukk, cant deny that :ehh:

2019 terrain denali to replace my jeep i wrecked.

MSRP around 40k, got it for 27 b4 ttl, 30ish after. The owner of the dealership was from the same village as me so that helped. But even without that it was 33.5k off GMC discounts alone for presidents day.

Gonna give a unpopular answer. The benefits of buying a brand new car is not having to purchase your next car sooner. I’ve had the same truck since 2011 but I don’t feel like it’sall that old since I purchased it brand new and I’m not in a rush to buy another vehicle. Had I bought a used one at the time I bought mine, I would have probably already purchased another vehicle by now.

Not sure if I would do that again, but buying a new whip isn’t all bad like a lot of people make it seem.

Yeah them Denali's do have good deals for new vehicles. I want one, maybe by the end of this year. Lord willing:lawd:

Like i said this has more to do with mileage than age. If i buy a 2011 car today with only 9k on it will last as long as a new car before needing to be replaced.

i know conventional wisdom says buy a used car BUT... if I have the opportunity to cop a new car (2019) with good incentives thats only a few thousand more than a 2016 with certified warranty... WHY wouldn't i just go new?

I'm tryna make sense of this. Dave Ramsey the gawd says go used but he aint really give a good reason. :beli:

Thats exactly what im saying. If i can get a brand new car for 1k more than a older car with previous owners... im getting a brand new car

Dave Ramseys philosophy is that you shouldn't have more than half your income tied up in cars and pay for it in cash. If you can do both of those, then get what you want.

My boy bought a 08 Infiniti QX60 with 200k miles. Now the car has 485k miles on it and running fine.

Need to buy a used SUV, recommend me something please.

Leaning towards Infiniti and/or Nissan without a CVT transmission

Buy a brand new car, then lose 3K in value right when you drive off the lot!

Cop a used whip or lease.

Da city where the skinny nikkas die
Maybe just buy a car you can afford

:yeshrug:

i can afford both. cash too. So let's say these are my options

brand new 2019 Honda Accord Sport, 0 miles for $26K MSRP for vs 2016 Honda Accord Sport 18K miles for $23K

I can knock the price down off the new car with dealer incentives and the price of the used car would go up for an extended warranty. but taking that away, the difference is only $3K. why wouldn't I go new?
