Well, it all depends on what you drive and what size tires you need. I know I had caught a deal on some tires for my wife's car. She had some 19 inch factory rims and I ended up getting her a brand new set of tires for $540 out the door. But because we didn't keep a good alignment schedule they were worn out in a year. The best thing to do is keep your tires rotated, keep your car aligned properly, and keep the right air pressure in there to make sure you get the most life out of those tires.

You grabbed some Nankang's didn't you...:beli::shaq2::russ:

I just Grabbed some Falken Z someshyts...my cars rear wheel drive and surprisingly i got home without a bunch of nonsense in 6 inches of snow. 1100 with the alignment tho....:damn:

Absolutely nothing I hate doing for my car more than buying some new tires...

well you got a sports car. expensive maintence is the cost of doing business. why you gonna put used tires on an expensive whip?

because its the same thing as new...they are like 90% thread for much less cost I have been doing it for years on any car i had, its just I was out of town that time and cought a bunch of screws in both tires so had to buy them at this cost since tire places werent in abundance like miami. I dont spend 450 on a new tire when I can get one that last just as long for 225.

I'd rather cop a new one at costco. that way the tire is insured. I remember getting new tires once, and then one got the sidewall punctured after less than 1000 miles. they only charge you based on the treadwear to replace. so to get a new tire it only cost like $5 based on the tread.

they also fill ur tires with nitrogen and will fix flats for free.

they have places that specialize in high performance tires, i been purchasing used for over 10 years..rubber is rubber as long as its not some old dry rotted rubber especially on higher end tires.

My car came with runflats but I didn't want runflats anymore because they are loud and got these recently. I run wider tires in the back due to having the "sports" model.

How do you know if the tires will be aligned properly or not?
You can tell by looking at the way your tires are wearing down. On my wife's car, the outside of the tire looked fresh but the inside was very thin. After I got the new tires I took her car to Firestone and got the unlimited alignment where I can take the car to get an alignment anytime I want. If I wanted to go every week, I could and it has already been paid for. So now we take the car every time we get a rotation done.

To be honest I don't remember who the tires was made by. I just know that they were brand new and for a good deal and since I'm in the south we don't have to worry about snow as often as some of our Northern Brehs. If I would have noticed how the tires were wearing down sooner I could have had an alignment done and those tires would have lasted another 18 months at least. It's all good now though.

Drive in a straight line without holding the wheel, if the shyt pulls to either side even the slightest it needs an alignment. Tires should be rotated with every oil change, can go every other oil change if you want, but why. My tires usually end up with dry rot rather than bare tread, last about ~3 years.

I have a lifetime warranty on my tires. I'm hoping that will come in handy someday so I don't have to buy new ones at any point.
But you know how these people do, they prolly gonna say normal wear and tear isn't covered and make me buy brand new tire when that day comes.

I bought some from TireRack.com back in September and got a rebate for a $100 Gamestop gift card with it. I think TireRack always has deals like that, so it's worth looking into when you need new ones.
