Now if you're regula degula average, then maybe it becomes a factor. Women have said guys will take an avg light skinned girl over an avg dark skinned girl.

Not gon lie, there's a couple lighter skinned women that I might unconsciously not have paid as much attention to if they were dark skinned.

But that doesn't mean men don't date and marry dark skinned women everyday

Light skin is not a be all and end all for beauty. If the lady's personality sucks then I dont care how nice her eyes are or curly hair or whatever, it's "check, please"

I think she's just mad that the type of **black guys** she wants don't see her as "exotic" as other races do. They probably get different kinds of women and see a black girl as nothing extraordinary or exotic which clearly irks her enough to date outside and still complain about "**black men**"

The bolded is the issue. Today, less people are in relationships or married. They see light skinned and non Black women being gassed up on social media and think that's why they don't have a man. But they don't realize that colorist men have always existed, but most women just went to where they were wanted. And that was typically other Black men who saw the beauty in darker women. The same with your other example of Black men who are not considered the most desired in the community. Those men still had wives and raised families in my parents generation. Today, we have a new generation of terminally online men and women who are not dating and blaming everything but themselves. Everybody wants to "hold women/men accountable" when you can simply just find a person who does not display the behaviors you disagree with.

As the internet says, they need to get out and touch grass. And if they still aren't getting the dating results they want, then go ahead and date out, or don't date at all, or create a holigram man/woman.... do something other than having these conversations that lead nowhere about how you hate the opposite sex because of x, y, and z. I think people should date who they want for whatever reasons they want. Just please treat other Black people who've done nothing to you respectfully and move on with your life.

I don't believe this. Society and the community let alot of unnactrive dark skin women (which includes the one in the OP) use that as crutch as to why they're not getting chose by the men they want.

She sounded like she dates all men. And admitted she was projecting insecurities in saying "I dont have to worry". Meaning black men arent specefically telling her they want biracials. I mostly agree about most black men being color struck from my experience due to our programming. But the point shes missing is that just like those color struck black men may be settling for her. Those white men and latino men are possibly settling too. They might prefer a bad white woman,or bad latina woman but just cant pull that.


But they get grace of "why would they date a darkskinned black girl,when they could date a white woman?"



Because a man without a strong preference of course will date a 9 dark skinned girl. Rather than take a mediocre white woman whos a 6. So these non black men are possibly doing the same thing shes accusing black men of. Shes just assiming these non black men would settle within their own race,rather than level up outside of it.
