Thibs would have erased all doubts about the Lakers franchise going forward. They could possibly make a great coaching hire, but this current regime's track record suggests that will not be the case.

Let's see how long it takes for them to make up their mind. This week and a half of Byron floating in the wind was ridiculous in and of itself. That's not even taking into account waiting until AFTER free agency began when they officially hired him.
