Scott is an absolutely terrible head coach. he may have had a few shining moments 15 years ago in New Jersey for a couple of seasons, but dude has an outdated style of coaching.

the best team he ever had was the 2007-08 New Orleans Hornets that went 56-26 with a prime Chris Paul, David West, Peja Stojakovic, and Tyson Chandler :wow:

them boys should have made it to the Finals that year :mjcry:

Possible candidates to replace Scott could include Golden State assistant Luke Walton, former Rockets and Knicks coach Jeff Van Gundy, UConn coach Kevin Ollie and San Antonio Spursassistant Ettore Messina.

Lakers have a young roster. Jeanie Buss needs to look into hiring someone like her fiancé was at one time. Someone who is young and successful in the minor league system. Those guys turn into good coaches.

I'd want to talk with someone like David Blatt. Messina is another guy who did well overseas but he may just take Pop's place in 3 years. Luke Walton is real young but did more than enough to make sure the Warriors didn't miss a beat. How would he do with less talent?

I'd also want to talk with a few of the hungry young'uns who have been successful in the D-League -- like Jordi Fernandez, Casey Hill, Nate Bjorkgren, or Nevada Smith.

The Lakers don't need retreads. They need a fresh face.
I agree with this somewhat. My dream hire is Ollie but our D-league team is in the Finals and minor league or not thats a big accomplishment. I think we should give the guy whos heading that squad an interview at the very least
