If Lakers are able to get Ben Simmons, along with Russell, Randle, & Clarkson are nice starting points, along with a new coach is not a bad way to start the Lakers post Kobe. Biggest issue is the fukkery between fukkboi Jim Buss & Jeanie. Best case is you let the young players develop and show that they can play and sign quality free agents and make the playoffs, same way how the Lakers got Shaq, who went to an already playoff Lakers squad with Eddie Jones, Van Axel, Elden Campbell in tact with a vet like Robert Horry and high schooler Kobe added once he signed. They are trying to do the same right now that they did in the 90's, problem is they don't have Jerry Buss or Jerry West in the building now. Mitch Kupchak ain't a closer come free agency time, along with his questionable decision making. No self respecting star NBA player will take Jim or Jeanie Buss serious at all. No superstar or All-Star caliber squad will sign to a terrible team anymore in today's NBA, LeBron is the only exception and that was because of Kyrie and he knew he had Love coming his way and knew that he would have control of the Cav's.

This is the last byron scott's nba coaching job, after he gets fired no team will be dumb enough to hire him unless their plans were sabotaging the whole season to tank, in a more arrogant way than the lakers or sixers are doing right now.
