It does sound more like house soca mix then dancehall tho, gotta call bs on the fake outrage from the overnight dancehall experts

Bottom line is the only reason most of yall thinking about Dancehall now is because two cac's, (Bieber & Ramriddlz) made it hot again

What's the difference between white's using dancehall & out shining the originators of dancehall because of the automatic crossover they have in a larger market place and black americans doing the same thing? Whether it's Bieber or Drake using it, at the end of the day Jamaican artists are still not getting anything in return.

this is not hip hop, the old heads in dancehall are forever in the game getting money with the newschool dancehall artists, theyll cosign all types of fukkery.
old school reggae artists are more selective tho
reggae & dancehall aren't the same thing.

Now tell me what's the difference between whites using dancehall, watering it down, & out shining the dancehall artists they stealing from simply because of the automatic crossover they have in a larger market place and non jamaican blacks doing the same thing? At the end of the day Jamaican artists are still not getting anything in return.

So will this in turn be a good thing or a bad thing? I don't think it's gonna be a good thing for the OG's or those who held it down afterwards. I think it's gonna be exploited and whored out by every pop act trying to do something different. :sadcam:

I wouldnt want an artist like elephant man or beenie man to get on a song with justin bieber or ramriddlz and be exposed to their cac fanbase

if those same artists jump on a song with rihanna, who has roots in the culture, to make a pop hit then its not so bad

(Work was supposed to have popcaan and vybz kartel instead Drake)
