What is a "proper measure" to you

We could start by not incentivizing people to have babies they couldn't otherwise afford. I'd prefer making a person actually think about their sexual behavior and take precautions on their own accord than to institute overreaching facist policies that almost certainly will backfire like china

Like giving vascectomies/ tying tubes to men and women that don't desire having kids.

People already have that choice. It shouldn't be forced tho.

I'm talking more about the trillions of dollars in social programs politicians use to bribe poor women into voting for them by promising free stuff.

If you're a young childless woman struggling to make ends meet in a dead end job, the current climate makes having a baby out of wedlock the smart decision. Between food stamps, housing vouchers, child support or TANF, and a boyfriend or 2, she can have a much better life for herself even if the child ultimately suffers

dont see the issue here. So basically you want California to have 1 billion people to keep its “luster”.

same way I hear people talk about nyc losing its luster cause it’s 8 million population isn’t booming anymore. Good! NYC should lose half it’s population.

You act like I wrote this or something. I just ran across the story. No need to get hyped. I will continue to post threads about what I find interesting.

:camby: this thread isnt for you.

Overpopulation is real.
Overpopulation in cities is real, cause they’re only built for so many people to live there, but in general it’s so much land in America that we could fit literally the entire world in a few states

The problem like a lot of what other people have said is the COL, but the issue of fires is not a real issue, the media is over hyping that issue. California does not have a overpopulation issue, if you live outside a major cities you will be fine here. Its still the best place to live in the US by a long shot.
