I seriously doubt Cal would put the "word out" in this manner. This is not how Cal operates. You think our Athletic Director isn't acutely aware that Coach Cal could have any basketball job he wanted in the country? You think he has to send out word he's interested in a position to get more money out of UK? lol. This just really isn't how Cal would handle this if he were interested or if he actually wanted more money, he wouldn't let a rumor out that would make his kids think he's going to leave them. He's in Egypt coaching the U19 team with two of his AA recruits on the squad. And every single fukking offseason there is a rumor Cal is leaving to coach an NBA team. Last season it was he was going to coach Lebron. He wouldn't even leave KY to coach fukking lebron, why the flying fukk would he go to the knicks?

Cal is one of the biggest opportunist on the planet so yeah...I absolutely think he would put the "word out".

How is he an opportunist? There has been a vacant position at the Knicks, Cavs, and Lakers the past few seasons (literally multiple seasons in a row) and each offseason there have been rumors he was interested in those positions (coaching and operations wise) this is the same shyt.

Nah.

But Calipari is definitely one guy who would push back at Dolan. In terms of potential fukkery it would be a gold mine.

I don't think Calipari has it in him to be patient enough to endure the losing that will come with development.
teams like the knicks lose for free anyway. might as well lose 10 more games and get some draft picks for it

Just give Mills "the MSG shill" the prez job, and please sign a GM that knows how to work - i.e. David Griffin

Exactly. That is what Cal does. He always "puts it out there" that he is interested or they are interested or some other stuff...

That is what an opportunist does...and in this case...like the case every single year...Cal is going to make sure his name s around some nba team for some nba reason
