Im willing to try it out, linkup some fwea calisthenic routines
What's that word breh? Fwea?
Im willing to try it out, linkup some fwea calisthenic routines
First things first breh, just because they have "more time" to work out, doesn't mean they are actually in the yard or in their cells hours upon hours a day doing nothing but pushups, dips, squats, etc. They work out like anyone else with workouts that vary between 30 minutes like this workout, or an hour, some more just depending on what they are doing in their workout.
Inmates are just like regular people, they work out, get tired, sleep and continue to do it again. Theres a reason there are high intensity workouts and workout programs that last 20-30 minutes, because for some odd reason between sleeping, working and kids nobody in modern day society seems to have 'time'.
As far as 'resting' the body isn't 'resting' when it is sedentary, so you thinking that someone just needs to be sitting down or laying down or sleeping to be recovering, you've got to move and remain active to repair efficiently.
On the contrary, one can be perfectly fit and healthy utilizing just bodyweight alone and not having to invest in weights, or gym memberships.
People will always have excuses as to why they are sedentary when in reality the body doesn't require much to maintain, i.e not be flabby and sick, obese, etc. Everyday you see people struggling to get out of their chairs, when if they simply repeated that getting up out of a chair motion 50-100 intentional times per day well it might be a little easier.
At the end of the day its a sacrifice, people will watch 30 mins of tv but can't find the time to workout. It doesn't matter if you have weights and don't use them or simply refuse to get on the floor and do pushup. If you aren't willing to sacrifice or just do it then there just wont be any results.
nikka I'd have you washing my draws very humbley, I'd tear you apart.
What the hell is going on in these coli streets? nikkas doing calisthenics while they're making someone wash their draws?

Lmao dope/fresh/cool
I forgot most people outside of South FL don't use fwea
This thread took a turn for the stupid immediately. Lol.
Brehs in here acting like they could do push ups and sit ups for a year then walk into a power lifting meet and kick everyone's ass.
Some obviousbeing thrown around too. Like a natural dude below 6'0 weighing 215 getting that big
off of bodyweight alone and no chemical
assistance.
Back on topic. No doubt you can get right off of calisthenics. Its a great option when your workout options are limited or those Tae Bo videos have ran their course. Just look at any military fitness program. Me personally, I use a combination of weight training and calisthenics.
If you can bench all day but can't do push ups, pull ups, etcand got chicken legs..................................
On the flip side, if you can't bench, squat or deadlift your own body weight................
The lack of balance in weight training and calisthenics puts you at risk of having to humble yourself and wash another grown mans funky underwear or be at risk of being compromised physically and have you wondering "is we finished or is we done"
while that person is in the act of (insert any verb here) you. Especially in a hostile environment like prison, on a SF mission some where aboard or the backwoods of Kentucky.
Scientific Journals > Anecdotes.Once again you have no proof on what your talking about,Ive seen it work for me and other guys I was incarcerated with,do just calisthenics and get a 405 bench, believe it or not I don't care

Scientific Journals > Anecdotes.
You can pretty easily google the naturally attainable lean body weights.
Now, if he was 215 with some body fat at the height you mentioned, the story sounds plausible but if he's 215 lean at the height I recall you saying and benching 405, there's a high chance he was messing with test and needles.
Also if we're talking about pushing big weight powerlifting > Calisthenics all the time, every time.
Otherwise the world record holders would be doing pushups, sit ups, and
bodyweight squats.
I also never stated you can't get fit from or that there is no benefit to bodyweight exercises. I do pull ups and pushups nearly everyday in addition to free-weights', cables and the smith machine.
I feel to really unlock your potential you need to do both calisthenics & weight training.
But people sleep on calisthenics and don't realize how important it is. Not to mention the core of your strength comes from it.
Watch those ghetto work out vids of them hanging on bars and twisting their bodies. That shyt takes incredible strength and makes you more of a complete athlete.
No I'm 6'0 215 12% bodyfat.
The cat I was talking about who could bench 405 just doing calisthenics training was 6'1 about 235-240, and in shape,no abs but no stomach either.
And as I stated you guys can keep going by what society puts out there,i don't,ive seen these things with my own 2 eyes and also seen it happen with me but on a smaller scale, society and weightlifting gurus once said overtraining was very bad and it turns out it's actually very beneficial.
If you understand that the body ONLY understands resistance, then you would know you can get big and super strong off calisthenics IF you do it right and keep finding ways to add resistance.
Nah breh @Unstable dude @Professor Mac is correct, not 100% but he definently isn't off track like you think.
I thought that was bullshyt as well, but as I said being in the joint for 6 years really brought this workout shyt to a new light.
A guy I was locked up with did crazy weights he had to be only about 5'8 but a solid 215,he could bench 435,squat 400 he was a MONSTER, he came home quit working out and lost alot of that strength he had.
Now this other cat who did nothing but calisthenics and he was ox strong just off calisthenics NO WEIGHTS at all,had to go about 6'1 245,he came home quit working out and got fat and is about 315 now,BUT he still is way stronger than the other guy and he still can go in the weight room and move shyt around,he just benched 315 12 times and this was just the strength calisthenics let him keep bruh,no lie.
It's some truth to it.
