Wait what in the hell.. TDM does
NOT show Kills and Deaths. It's literally team DEATH match... the whole game is about Kills and Deaths. Also: playing online and having to WORK TOGETHER in a game that directly rewards being the best player on the team through level ups makes no sense (unless you got a tight crew who you always run with and you're all about the same level and 'best' rotates and you all eat).
So I get into a match with a bunch of people I don't know, I don't use a headphone because I don't want to hear a 14-year old recite Lil' Pump lyrics and... I get punished for it and have no clue how I'm doing.
No Kills and Deaths just made me go from 'I'm hype.. I'm IN!' to 'whoa.. wtf?'.
I get with Blackground that they want to get in on the Fortnite/PBUG hype, that looks cool.
But how many times have we in gaming gone down the 'team work is rewarded' road for it to totally not work for a variety of reasons.. looks like a really bad call.
Then this forced thing of picking specialists. What if I only enjoy playing as Specialist X or I'm trying to unlock something/level up or do Challenges... (are the Challenges in BO or MW?)... but because somebody is quicker I can only use that Specialist 20% of the time.. how do I get skilled in that Specialist AND how do I not get annoyed?
Some very questionable, seemingly not well-thought through Game Design decisions made to shake things up and to be like Overwatch. But if we wanted to play Overwatch, we'd play Overwatch. It's the distinctions between games that makes us want to play different games.
