Apologizing won't change the fact that he acted like that and basically embarrassed himself on a global stage. Much like how being a gracious loser wouldn't change that he got his ass whipped. So what do you want from him? What would an apology do? Protect his image, which already got dragged through the mud leading up to the game? The stories that the media NEEDED his emotional, raw reaction for have come and gone to the presses.
