but he came dam close to a classic numerous times, has a classic "group" album, classic mixtapes crew & solo, etc etc. really, he has the best overall body of work than anybody you can name that debuted in the past 15 years.

That's where we have a difference of opinion, to me none of Cam's album are even close to classic. Most of them are ok at best.
Black Star, BOBS and Train of Thought are all better than any Cam solo. Siegel has two excellent albums better than any Cam solo.

cam mixes inside references with heavy slanguage. its really not meant for virgin ears.

theres plenty of times where a cam line that made me go was considered wack by someone.......only to find out that they just didn't get it. and 9 times out of 10, the person that didn't get it is either not up-to-snuff on a lot of things or just not the smartest person walking.......or both.

another thing though is when these mc's are using it usually for like wordplay it's the hood verison of idioms like for example ice in the hood means jewlery etc but the actual definition of ice refers to something like snow etc.

since when is there a limit on how much slang you can use? THIS IS HIP-HOP. if you cant keep up, then you either shape up or ship out.
