the bolded is your opinion.

cam/ghost could go either way.

i'd rank ghost a tad bit higher than cam on my all-time list, but that's only because cam insists on dropping 25 track LPs. if he got rid of the filler, then purple haze & killa season would be classics, imo.

plus, cam has the better overall body of work. ghost has 2 classic solo LPs so he gets the slight edge, but none of his other albums matter offline. cam's catalog is better. he got joints for days and is a much better listen.

the random verses are a clear minority tho. and that just illustrates what I was saying about people being un-informed and ignorant to things.

yea, ironman & supreme.

I disagree that Cam and Ghost are close. Ghost was a part of 36 (which is a universal classic) and a big part of OBFCL (again, universal classic).

I know you are of the opinion that Wu lost the streets and became a white people group after Forever, but Ghost somehow was not included in that, likely because his first solo album post Forever was a classic. The retail BPW may not have been a classic, but the core hip hop community embraced it in a way that other Wu releases were not. Essentially, Ghost was different because he had a reputation for excellence.

Also, Fishcale is a personal classic to me and was one of the strongest releases from 2006. Even as late as 2009 Ghost was dropping g scene stealing g verses (Gihad). And his project this year was one of the years best.

According to who? :rudy:

Next are you going to try to say that Dipset was on the same level as Wu-Tang?

And how can you say something is my opinion when there are people here who can't even accept the fact that people view Cam's lyrics as weak? Instead of just viewing it as an opinion, people want to basically call those critics stupid and corny for "not getting" them.

No they aren't. If that was the case, people here wouldn't be trying so hard to justify those lines and try to deny how weak they are.
no one is going to have a response for the bolded. :salute:

you are saluting it,...
as you don't know shyt about the streets or emcee'n like that.
so, to a guy with no frame of reference, or experience.
you don't get it, at all.
out of all your wack emotional no cultural relevant commentary based reactionary post.
you have yet, to talk about the pillar of emcee'n and how it pertains to cam.
all because you don't fukking know, at all.

so, what do you do.
what every inexperienced toy nikka has done,...try to start a feud with the champ.
get bodied and follow me around, trying to piggyback off of other past tabled nikkaz.
which, will get you nowhere, but tabled the fukk up and marginalized by:

art barr

oh, and show you don't know shyt about the culture some more,...when you diss my e-tag..
then, wonder how I got up and known for it, and you still struggle.
I know the culture and that is how I got known,...
you not going to get known at all, though.
nor will you be brought up in comparison, or relevance to:

ghostface could've been left off of 36 chambers and we would've had the same results. which is why I separate groups from solo lists.

bulletproof wallets was embraced by core hip-hop community? THE INTERNET?:laff:

most of these ghost albums that yall hype up on here are okay but forgettable dust-collectors in the grand scheme of things.

we done already responded to the bolded a handful of times. you two just don't like the answer.

Bulletproof Wallets was not some underground album that the average hip-hop fan was unaware of.
Fair point on 36.
Ironman, Supreme and Fishscale are high quality. Otherwise, in the grand scheme of things I agree - but all of Cam's albums also go in that same category

Ok - I'll bite. What is the hidden "hustling" meaning to the following?

Drinking Sake on a suzuki we in osaka bay
Playing soccer, stupid, stay in a suckers place

What is the secret hustling meaning to the computer's puting line - since that is the quintessential bad Cam line?

Also - give examples of some of the lines that have double meanings that you would only catch if you really hustled.

LOL. nikkas in here really tryna say Cam is better or even at the same level as Ghostface? SMH.

Wacky D again with his fvckery.
Wacky gave Ghost the nod - no one has actually come out and said Cam was better than Ghost, but, to me, it shouldn't even be up for debate.

again, youre quoting the same exact singles run.:hmm:

and for the record, that Suzuki line was hot.
I never noticed the "playing soccer" chit to be honest. I just remember the following line was brutal.

I never said ghost albums were underground. they just don't matter.

fishscale was average.

Agree that its a great line. And the following line was brutal. After listening to PH, I've come to some conclusions about the style he was using on that album. First of all, he sound boring and uninspired frequently. I like my Cam to have a bit of passion to him - and often on Purple Haze he comes across as if he realizes he's just stringing words together to make the multis hot. That particular line - and song - and Killa Cam as well - his flow is just so much more compelling.

His COC shyt was hot - although there isn't much of it (or I don't have a lot of it). The Stretch and Bobbito freestyle over the Lord Finesse freestyle especially. He set that shyt off right. He had passion - energy - multis - punchlines.

His style on the few tracks I have from COF was just awful (especially on the original Horse & Carriage). I'm just a few songs into SDE - but I can tell I'm gonna like Cam's energy on this album more. But we'll see.

Oh - and on one listen - PH is about a 3 maybe a 3.5. Some of the production was ass. Girls is an abomination. And it dragged on and on and on (the album I mean - quality control).

If I'm quoting the same singles run - whatever that means, then give us other examples of Cam's hidden hustler meanings to his music.

Fishscale was damn near perfect. If Ghost's albums don't matter (other than the two) - neither do Cams.

Ghostface is 10x the rapper that Cam is. That's not even up for discussion. So no one is giving him a "pass". He's a better MC overall.

Now you have to resort to ad hominem attacks to justify Cam's weak lyrics? :pachaha:

Ghost isn't btter than Cam at all. You nerds just love Wu Tang so much, you give Ghost a pass for the same shyt you want to take away from Killa for

They both use a lot a slang terms in their raps, only difference is Cam's makes way more sense if you're from the streets. Nothing Cam says is confusing if you actually just know East coast slang

Purple Haze is a 3 or 3.5? :banderas::camby:
That was my impression after listening again after a very long time. What are the 5/5 songs to you? Most of the songs are blah. How do you justify Girls?
