It's not even worth quoting all of his whack lines. The delusional Cam fans will just come up with more excuses.
You're absolutely right. But since I've started the computers putin', its only right that I continue to jam with these jammers, gopher chauffeur.

Being "real" (which is such an empty term now) and starting trends (wearing pink, saying "no homo" and other ignorant stupid "trends" ) don't really count as accomplishments and those things didn't make him a better artist.
Not to mention there wasnt a response to the numerous sellout songs I posted.

SDE was a classic

Crazy how most Cam fans dont even talk about his best album

CHWM was ok, biggest problem was half of it was spit on other beats in the mixtapes that dropped in the months leading up to it

He was one of my favorite artists when CHWM was dropping too but the album was ok at best

Still tho, Cam>>
Other than SDE being classic, you are on point with this.

Word. I don't get how SDE gets overlooked so much.

I can list like 50 wack lines from every rapper that ever rapped in hip hop history (Except for probably Rakim or something)

What exactly does that prove? Nas has a bunch of terrible lines. So does Jay. They're both top 5 all time. That doesn't mean much

I agree that every great rapper has wack lines, but what I'm posting are examples of what I was talking about earlier. To me its more a style issue, these are techniques that Cam uses frequently that are corny to me

With the exception o the gopher chauffeur line. I have no idea what that means. I read the rap genius explanation and I'm not buying it.

Still havent got to Killa Season, but for now, I'm saying SDE was Cam's peak. I forgot how much I used to like Cam at that time. And how he used to kick these long verses just blacking out. He really hasn't had a crazy standout verse since SDE, but in fairness he's not really going for that anymore.

I agree about SDE. It's a good album. But a classic? No.

And the big question is: why is he not going for the long verses anymore? He's been phoning it in for a while now but the people here are saying that he "changed his style". :bryan:

Exactly about SDE. And has anyone here actually justified why the album is a classic? People are just saying it without backing it up or making an argument. There are a few classic songs on there - but there are some wack songs on there too. How is the album a classic? It didn't have a huge imapct and it isn't top flight material.

SDE was 19 tracks and was hard damn near the whole way thru

U can argue whether or not it's a classic

But my point was that it's Cam's best album so if any album of his was classic, it was that one

Cam's subject matter is moronic but there is no doubt he shines sometimes

wait a minute...
you read rap genius, and did not get it.
what you doing, even on rap genius.

next,....
just say you don't know anything about cam after his style change.
cam is a bside artist, and you won't be able to track down all of his standout work.
nor, the timeline in how they occurred to sway you.
so, why even try....
just say you don't like him and don't know or care about learning his discography and move on.

you are doing the same shyt people did. when, I listened to twista, project pat, Gucci, and others people who really were not in the know said.

just say you don't know and you cool.
trying to argue and not know, makes it not cool.
