He's acting like a sell out. He's the face of the league but is choosing not to take a definitive stance. Not to mention he's been neutered since he got drafted by Carolina.

He's basically taking a bet that he will keep his black fans while also tapping into the "cac" market.

Instead it is basically backfiring. He is losing his black fans, even white people think he looks stupid, and the racists still hate him.

Cam is just tryna be all things to all people. That never works.

He should just say nothing at all

Word, either speak your mind and TELL THE TRUTH, or be quiet.

God damn, has the coli ever turned on a guy so swiftly? I was such a Cam stan last year I used to be all in the Panthers thread.

still starting Killa in fantasy though :mjpls:

Coli ain't the only place. Black people in general feel justifiably betrayed by Cam.

nikkas was riding for that man hard in the face of all that hate, and when it's his turn to come up to bat he goes for a bunt. Black folks wan't even looking for a homer or a grand slam. Just a single breh. Just a single woulda been fine.

That's the thing with our people - the conscious ones at least. We'll support you devoutly and defend you against all, but the minute you switch up, you done to us.

This is EXACTLY what is happening. To a T - from what he's trying to do to what is actually happening.

I think it's a lose lose proposition.

Kap was the first one to do it and received backlash in the beginning (Which would've been the best time for Cam to speak up). But now that the tide as turned in Kap's favor, people are now looking at Cam to say something. Even if he leans one way or another, it would be disingenuous because he was forced to say something. He would've been better off just staying quite. Do some charity work, create an organization, or continue to be about the kids.

Not to derail the thread, but by contrast, someone like Marshawn Lynch has always been himself and has almost everyone's respect.
Cam just needs to pick a lane. You're right. Being everything to everyone makes you nothing to no one.

Let's be fair though.....he's a professional football player. He wasn't hired to be a civil rights leader. Nor was he hired to agree 100% with all black people, because that's impossible, as there is gray area all over. You can talk about "staying on code", but what is code is that? That idea has only been put out there by Tariq and Umar in the last 4 years or so.

Dude was poorly advised
He had the choice of saying no comment or punting on racial issues
Judging by his press conference it seems like Cam wants to be loved by everyone but if thats your desire dont talk about race in this country and if you do make a comment own your statement

He's not some 3 yr. old child who only knows a world of cartoons & toys.

"We're past racism in dis country..."

Dere is absolutely no fukkin excuse & no pass for any black male in dis country to utta such blatant bullshyt like dat. Specially in dis current climate of injustices being documented/video recorded and exposed on daily basis for da world outside of our communities to finally be forced to see.

None. :camby:
