Not to derail the thread, but by contrast, someone like Marshawn Lynch has always been himself and has almost everyone's respect.
Cam just needs to pick a lane. You're right. Being everything to everyone makes you nothing to no one.

IMO it's no coincidence that marshawn was pretty hated while he played in my racist ass hometown of buffalo, and became a more appreciated star when he went out to the more liberal Seattle.

I think Cam has handled this situation so poorly, he will never have a national fan base again.

Honestly I think it's perfectly fine to expect more from cam. I know just as a black engineer,Asher or Doctor people expect more.

People ask me about being a black engineer, biases, etc. I've personally never experienced professional racism , even though I'm in a technical field and I'm worried about it. I'm not gonna ever say it doesn't exist.

There's a difference between being a dumb jock and acting like a naive six year old. I still love cam and wish him and his stripper girl friend the best. I just can't respect him as a grown man.
