Camron owes his career and this album to Ma$e and Biggie (Even though Ma$e didn't do the video), lol. But it was a solid album. I'm a purist when it comes to Cam. I love "'Confessions and S.D.E." more than anything else he's done. Don't get me wrong, I like songs here or there on his future albums and the Diplomatic LP's. But as far as spitting, Cam was best on his 1st two albums.

real talk as a young cat who was killing low quality mixtapes of doo wop, clue, tony touch, cosmic kev, etc... from the local bootleg spot that had mad exclusives, it fukking hurt my heart to cop "Confessions Of Fire" the day it dropped and to see that the mixtape classic, "Pull It" with DMX didn't make the lp.

i remember being both excited for that Tuesday and nervous since I had to get a cavity filled that morning before i was able to head to the record store to cop the album.

Instead of having a CDQ version of one of my fav. cuts to drop that year, all i had was a sore jaw and joints like "Shanghai" and "Rockin n Rollin" taking up spots that shoulda been earmarked for "Pull It". fukk that day and fukk sample clearance issues or whatever caused it to be cut from the album. ..
