Mac had the song on different platforms and it was registered on BMI. You can't call it a mixtape song when you're collecting royalties on it.
Mac was profiting off a beat Finesse made without crediting him. He spoke to Mac directly and said he didn't understand the business aspect so he had to get at Mac's label or whoever handles his business. They weren't moving correct so it spiraled into a lawsuit.
Finesse did nothing wrong unless you think it's okay to use someone's beat, profit off it, and not pay them.
Once Mac's people decided to platform the song a call should have been made to clear it with Finesse and credit him so he could eat. It's no longer a mixtape/promotional song. They stole his beat but he's wrong? That logic ain't holding up.
