Facts. If anything, margin of victory necessity was on the Celtics for game 2. Blow the Knicks out and show game 1 was a fluke. All that talk of sweeping in the regular season is moot if you lose or win by a slim margin. Either way, the Knicks prove they're in your class heading to MSG.

I know there's this narrative that he's the rodney dangerfield of star players bc he never gets serious (top 3 or better) MVP considerations or the stuff that happened in the Olympics, but i just think back to how 22ppg on 38% shooting (26% from 3) in the NBA Finals on a stacked team (with all the spacing in the world) is some shyt LAC George Paul would do. Westbrook earned the name young sabo with those type of shooting splits and shyt shot selection.

He's not as good as prime KD, or Luka, or SGA. He can have a game where he looks like that if the 3-ball is falling like we saw in PHI game 7... but jesus christ how fortunate were they to survive game 6, down 3-2 and him no-showing? That volatility is the problem, masked bc he's on a team that can win (to an extent) despite that. He could very well erupt for 50 at MSG on Saturday, then go right back to a 7 for 22 stinker in game 4.
