The Knicks came back by scoring at all three levels while the Celtics were missing all their 3's.

I don't understand abandoning the mid range when you're clearly cold from deep.

"3's are better than 2's" but 2's are better than zeros:manny:

This isn’t entirely true, the Celtics took some bad 3s but they were 3-13 on 2 pointers in the 4th quarter

They were bricking everything from everywhere

I'm all for the three point revolution now. My problem is still how you get to the three pointers. Boston has been doing a lot of isos and firing up one on one threes which I hate. Drive to the basket, collapse the defense and then kick it to an open three point shooter in rhythm. Especially when the D is overplaying the 3 pointers. And if that includes knocking down a few mid range shots until the D bends.

They were missing everything though. Didn't matter how the shot went up.

It's counter intuitive to keep taking those shots when none of them are going in. The mid range is about efficiency and the Knicks used that to get back in the game. NY wasn't lighting it up from deep either but they didn't abandon the mid range like Boston and they were rewarded for it.

Tatum averaged 31/13/5 on 60.7% TS against Orlando, who were the best defensive team in the East this season, and was probably the best series of his career

Then this series had 13 points on 4-8 shooting in the 1st quarter of G1…and has had 23 points on 8-34 shooting ever since

The volatility will always be what holds him back

Watching the highlights of the 4th is cringe inducing

- 6'10 Jayson Tatum decides to pass it to Derrick White for a semi-contested three instead of methodically punishing Brunson
- 6'7 Jalen Brown decides to foul bait and brick a shot than methodically punish Brunson
- Jayson Tatum decides to chuck up another three in the corner instead of passing it to Horford who is under the basket unguarded for a wide open layup

Mazzulla ball is terrorism

This on Tatum. I can cut Brown some slack cuz he's not 100%. First half Brown did his thing. 2nd half Brown looked like he was laboring. But that is when Tatum needs to take over the 2nd half

I've been saying during the regular season that Tatum took a step. But now that the playoff pressure is on, he's reverting back to bad habits.

They won last year riding Brown as the best player. Tatum has to step up especially with Brown injured.

Rewatchin highlights Jrue lowkey got fried in the 4th quarter. Brunson and Bridges must have scored 20 on em that quarter alone, committed a few fouls, was gettin rained on. Is he still hurt? Jue specially in clutch time usually lock down. He and White clamped the fukk down in the clutch for em last year but it ain't been that way so far.
Knicks are better conditioned (mentally and physically). All that Thibs hate about minutes and nobody wants to discuss why they keep outplaying teams in the 4th quarter of games in May.
