I'm more interested in Game 4. The Celtics and Tatum are due a 40-45% game from the 3pt line :francis:

Game 4 though :whew: :lupe:

All I know is that I never want to hear again by some Bostonian hacks that Tatum is a better scorer than Carmelo Anthony.

There was a shot Tatum took during the Olympics where he had a clean 3 point look, didnt take it, and then dribbled & side stepped to take the three as a defender closed in.

That shyt turned me off completely from his game. He dribbles into problems.

Tatum has never been a great mid range shooter, even in his early years though he shot a higher volume of them, he was never just this high level mid range assassin

Also even when he did, he had the same habit of settling for low quality mid range shots, a lot of contested fadeaways

Nonetheless he took 19 shots last night and only 5 were 3 pointers…he was missing everything. He’s shooting 7-22 on 2s in this series so far

The Knicks came back by scoring at all three levels while the Celtics were missing all their 3's.

I don't understand abandoning the mid range when you're clearly cold from deep.

"3's are better than 2's" but 2's are better than zeros:manny:

The whole squad is shooting bad from everywhere. It’s the Knicks defense and later in games the difference is conditioning. It’s not a fluke. Mitch, OG, Mikal, Hart, and McBride are legit good defenders. Mitch and OG are top 3 defenders for their positions. Potentially number 1 if Mitch can guard the perimeter and OG stays healthy.

I agree that Game 3 is a must win for the Knicks. I think if they take it Saturday, Boston rolls over in 4. Just way too much basketball for a lot of them between the Olympics and last years championship run.

Boston almost came back from a 3-0 deficit against the Heat in 2023 and the Knicks haven't shown a killer instinct the entire year. I wouldn't count em out
