Ross is Biggie's son. He can only dream of making the timeless music that Big made.

What hurts Ross in this debate is Biggie is leaps and bounds a better emcee than Ross. He has a more complex flow. His wordplay is better. His storytelling is another level. And Lyrically he does way more than Ross who is 1 dimensional with his rhymes and style. Ross rarely if ever switches it up like Big did. Ross could never do a "Notorious Thugs" or "Goin Back To Cali" cause he's not as diverse lyrically and flowise as Biggie.

The only thing Ross has over Big is he's alive and making more albums but he's now about to drop his 6th LP and doesn't even have a consensus Classic yet. Does Ross make good music? Yes. Does Ross have decent albums and hot songs and collbos? Yes. But he's not seeing Biggie in any, shape or form. Ross is not in Top 10 All time discussions. This shows you how iconic Big's work is. RTD and LAD are like historical monuments in Hip Hop. Ross can't compete and him running around with Diddy trying to be Biggie 2.0 won't change that he's not the original.

Not too big a Ross fan but I've said for years that Biggie can be moved from his top five slot. he is there for one reason he died on top.

Between the two, Biggie is the better rapper but I enjoy Ross' music more. I always preferred Jay-Z over Biggie too. For the last 15 years we've had to endure Biggie fans barking down everyone throats, discrediting Hov's success. Biggie is Kadeem Hardison in The 6th Man breh. The kid was nice as they came but he died. Then Marlon (Jay) took over and led the team to the championship

in order to be compared to biggie, you have to get past big pun first.

he didn't even pass heavy d yet, if you want to be real. hes more like chubb rock/fat joe status. that's still great status in the fat-rap clergy system tho.
