Can a Coli poster do a better job than some NBA GMs.

I would enjoy the opportunity as would anyone who watches sports avidly.

A few things.

I actually don't think that Myers Leonard contract is that bad. I think next season will be telling for him, he should produce just fine when given more minutes. Stretch 5s are the future and he could end up being a steal.

New Orleans didn't have any choice but to bring back Jrue Holiday. They were allowed to go over the cap to keep him, they wouldn't have had the room for a Teague or George Hill.

If they just let him walk that's essentially forcing Boogie out and would make AD force his way to Boston or something.

I'd be horrible. My style would be to try and avoid big countracts for all non-superstars unless we were a contender. Otherwise It's easy to sit back and never want to do that but not many owners cool with being bad. So they'll pressure you to sign somebody to show progress which is how the shytty contracts end up happening. I'd want to just sit back in free agency and hope for the bargain signs and be fired in like two years.

Idk about Myles Leonard i think they drafted Collins as a replacement to Leonard. Leonard minutes even went down last year. I'll be surprised if he play more minutes than Collins this season. Leonard had the opportunity prove hisself.

That's very true about Jrue Holiday they were fukked from the jump. Damn if they do damn if they don't. I had to look into that. The Solomon Hill signing kind of fukked them over (another bad signing) Everybody know that wasn't an ideal move but it was the only move to be had.

Rather than draft Porzingis, I wanted to try and trade back for Denver's pick and Jusuf Nurkic, and I would've probably picked Mudiay afterwards, so it's a good thing I wasn't a gm for the Knicks. I wouldn't of signed Noah or gave Carmelo that no trade clause though, so I guess that would've been the bright side to my Knicks tenure :ld:

As for the rest of the Coli, there are some very bright guys here when it comes to basketball, and I have no doubt they would do better than a lot of current gm's.

I would kind of do the same. Atleast you will have the cap flexibility to attempt to get better. Cap room is value in today's NBA. The nets got a protected first round pick for essentially taking on Carrol contract. Philly used to do it all the time to to pick up draft picks.
