The player was dominant in the time they played and get put on the same level as great players before them. But unlike the past greats, they didn’t have any great players at their position to challenge them. Not even close.

What about Clyde? He wasn’t valid?Michael Jordan did not compete against a Great Shooting Guard for his entire career. The best he played against were players like Reggie Miller and Mitch Richmond. He was regularly playing in the finals against cats like Old ass Danny Ainge, Jeff Hornacek, and Hersey Hawkins
That still doesn't take away from his greatness.

A level of separation is necessary for dominance. Its not like you are playing one on one or only play against your position. If you are impacting the game at a high level, you are great.
I dont know.If you go a school or job with nothing but 9’s, 10’s and end up dating 7. And there’s more men than women working there so you got heavy competition. And I work at a job which 3’s and 4’s and bag 12 because I’m the only guy working there. Does that mean my game is stronger than yours?
