Can anyone deny we're collectively devolving?

:manny:you a better man than me breh.

I definitely understand. But I’ve been in trying to be an optimistic realist… like the world ain’t sweet but things and situations can still be open to interpretation. Like my mom is really negative and can be draining but going into the conversations with her i try to frame it as neutrally or positively as I can before hand. With most things I try to visualize the best possible outcome. It takes a degree of delusion tbh. :yeshrug:

The universe cycles,we are in a loop. Either this world as we know it will be destroyed and we start over from scratch. Or we are in a consolidation pattern at the moment. You see a lack of creativity because we are in a narrowed creative space in a tight box. What happens after the consolidation is you will either see a breakout of the human conscience, which will result in a renissance period. Or you will see the devolving that you speak of. This is why right now we are in a war of different conscienceness/thought. You cant afford to remain silent during this period. Winner takes all for the forseeable future

that's just entropy, breh. as time goes on, things get more chaotic. it's not necessarily a 'devolution' unless you consider the outdated model of progress to be aiming for some singular, grand achievement by humanity, which isn't realistic and usually just ends up with a couple crazy fukkers trying to dominate the entire globe.

What does the word Devolve mean to you ?

- The concept of "devolution" is built on the notion that evolution has a direction (thus, devolution occurs when evolution goes "backwards"), but evolution does not have a direction. Natural selection simply adapts organisms to their current environment, and what is beneficial may change as the environment changes.

exactly. not to get too philosophic, but traditional models are 'arborescent' (shaped like a christmas tree) with a top-down hierarchy. in recent decades, there's been a movement toward more 'rhizomatic' models which don't have the same top-down hierarchy, are heteroarchic, and basically sprout up from anywhere and lead in any direction.

for example, science used to be about trying to classify the world and basically control the universe, but now you're less likely to find scientists trying to control the natural world to their whim and are more inclined to try and find ways to be more sustainable and fit in with the natural environment. get in where you fit in, as it were.

Measure it on any metric you want but people now for damn sure ain't what they were 20 years ago. The devolution is also increasing exponentially as its super evident for those with the eyes to see.

People are more connected to illusions and make believe than they are to themselves.

Folk are more frail these days. Mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually. Attention spans no longer exist. Creativity is at an all time low. Integrity is a very rare commodity. I could go on but you get the point.

Wise is the man who is immune to the madness of crowds and individualizes himself as we're evidently witnessing mass human engineering on a scale that was unimaginable previously.

All according to Keikaku...
You're purposely not saying anything concrete or tangible.
Be specific.

What metric are you using to make any of these claims?
