That's my PG man....

I hate the contract.... absolutely hate the contract.... but. The Grizz were in a bind the team has failed to develop other talent or failed to keep the decent pieces they had (lowry, gay, carroll, arthur, etc..) now they are in a desperate rebuilding mode.

There has been a lot of front office turnover and turmoil and nobody has been on the same page. Now Chris Wallace is back in the captains chair he is throwing around Monopoly money to ensure the team stays in the playoffs to save his job for at least the next 3 years.

Now that he has some stable guys he actually has to start earning his check and finding some players that nobody else wanted that can be developed into quality players. 3 years from now Wade Baldwin may be the starting PG and Conley may get traded to a team that's got stupid cap space available who knows....

Conley - Baldwin
Allen -
Parsons -
Zbo - Martin- Green
Gasol - Davis - Wright

It's not a terrible roster (if healthy) but there are a few holes left and not much cap space left. I'm hearing Eric Gordon and James Ennis may be next.

Who were these great perimeter players that he's been playing to take the pressure off him? Where's his Klay, Derozan, Lebron, Durant that's gonna take attention away from him? How are you gonna put up numbers playing in a plodding, two-big system with minimal shooting?

He's asked to run the offense, be the top shooter, top scorer, top ballhandler, top playmaker, then play defensive coordinator and diagnose the opponents offense, while chasing around Curry, Westbrook, prime Parker, CP3, Lillard, while having to go up against the opponents best perimeter defender, while scoring in a packed paint, and collect assists with Tony Allen and non-shooting ass Courtney lee on the wings.

Dude has played in a trash offense that has done him no favors. I disagree with the contract he got, and I wanted to blow it up, but I can't have ya minimizing what he's done.

He's not asked to be the top scorer, just to do the ish that the PG does. Tor offense is just as slow as Memphis, and yet Lowry (who's asked to do all of those things) has had better seasons. He still had one of the best low post scorers in the league and the best jumpshooting C by far...he can at least average 8 apg. Other PG's have done it. He could've also played the 2-man game with either of his bigs and averaged more than 17ppg (1x). Even Tony Parker did that.

Guys saying he's a fringe top 10 pg or lower are severely underrating him even with this new contract, he's easily a championship level point guard and no lon 7-8.

The reason he hasn't made an All Star team is because 4 of the top 5 point guards in the league play in the west, if he was in the east he would have been in a couple of All Star games already

Yeah you don't watch the Grizzlies if you think Raymond Felton at any point was better than Conley is

Should he have the biggest contract ever? Nah, but he's definitely a great player. The ONLY reason he's never made an all-star game is because he's played in the West. He'd have several in the East, where the likes of Jrue Holiday & Kyle Korver have made ASGs

Ray Felton did have a better season was a better player in his best season than Mike Conley's best. There are potentially 9 G spots for the all-star game, so by saying that, you're admitting that Conley isn't one of the top 9 G's. Even if they do 6 frontcourt and G's, he's still not one the top 6. Besides, you must didn't see Jrue's All-star season. He was ballin

I actually think its the complete opposite. They run type of offense becuz Conley like the rest of the team is limited offensively. He's a solid player but not great at anything and could easily be replaced

When I see HOFers like Wade that cant get this type of deal and scrubs like Conley it makes me wonder what is actually going on in the NBA with some teams
probably cause STD Wade is fukkin washed. That should be a message to nikkas to not take pay cuts and think these FO's gonna be loyal to you. Every team isn't stupid like Buss and Kupchak

Why are nikkas such haters. Dudes acting like the cap didn't go up.:mindblown: When Curry, Westbrook, Lebron and them sign long term deals his contract ain't going to look that big. Nikkas act like bytches counting a Nikka pockets. Be happy for the brother and move on.:camby:

lol at bringing up Raymond Felton. Do you pay any attention to defense at all? What about the system a player plays in? Does that matter?
