Both of these guys have dropped really good albums and to a good amount of commercial success compared to the way rap albums have been selling as of late......I see these guys as kinda all in the same boat in terms of gaining mainstream popularity around the same time.

Do you think Big Sean can top them with his next effort?

Wale & J. Cole?
You know Cole more than doubled Wale's sales right?

Music wise, nothing is impossible. He can spit, he's got a good team.. Why not?
Commercially, he did about half of what Wale did last time, a 2x re-up is not impossible seeing how Wale did a 5-6x re-up with his sophomore for the first week.

I doubt that he can reach Cole numbers, cause that will mean that he's reaching Kanye numbers which I doubt. But passing Wale is very feasible.

Gotta be honest, I'm all for never saying no definitively until we've heard the album but Sean hasn't released anything to show me he is anything more than a fast food rapper. Even with 'Detroit', so many people were impressed by it and I was just :ehh:. As a mixtape is decent, as a Big Sean mixtape it's good, but that says more about the overall quality of his music than the quality of the tape :manny:

fukk no. he'll do Mac numbers most likely. Just barely over 100k. Maybe 120k a best. This nikka has nowhere near of a fanbase as Wale and Cole. Sean is still "that rapper who is there" but not necessarily someone that should be taken seriously like that.

Big Sean fukked up, shoulda dropped in the spring, and needs to either wait until Christmas or next year, between the heat that dropped recently and a large set of people looking forward to Ross (:snoop:), schoolboy q, drake, a second JT album, beyonce (for the females), some awaited mixtapes, and the gawd Nasir, I don't see how he finds time to be relevant this year...he's no one is waiting on, if he has a hit, ppl may give a look, if not, he's doing French Montana #'s

Same thing could have been said about Wale and Cole until their recent first week numbers :lupe:

It gets released to the radio on the 9th. But I guess technically its not even getting radio play right now, so it's a flop :dwillhuh:

Everybody was talking about it... then they heard it... haven't heard it mentioned since the day it dropped... :ohhh:
