Can Devin Booker be better than Klay Thompspn?

And to clarify, Booker wasn't consistently terrible on defense for us, but the Wisconsin game was literally the worse defense I've ever seen him play. He doesn't have as long as a wingspan as Klay which means he won't be an elite defender, but I do think he can improve on the defensive end to become an serviceable defender.

True, but look at Chris Paul. I think he should mold his defense off how CP3 plays his defense, with quick and shifty hands.

They matched up real well against us because we had no backcourt athleticism, y'all woulda smoked them dudes.

Last year was something like Wisco > Kentucky > Duke > Wisco

Talent wise we should've won it all, We matched up extremely well against Duke and I think we would've beat them. Wisconsin has the perfect style of play to beat kentucky, they're really good at limiting possessions and running down the shot clock while still scoring on the possession. It was the one style that could beat us. We still should've won the game though, I'm not going to act like wisky didn't deserve to win but that missed shot clock violation changed the entire momentum of the game (imo) but we still had our chances to win and didn't. They were the one team I didn't want to play until the ship

I don't think he has the lateral footspeed to do that though. Tyler Ulis's defense reminds me so much of Chris Paul, though.

Judging by how he moves I think he does breh, he might just be lazy on defense. The right coach will fix that. Like say for instance, if Thibs took over the reigns--he would see that

I was vehemently against the Heat drafting him, because I thought he was just a spot up shooter. Turns out like other UK talents(Towns and Davis), we only got to see a fraction of what they can do at college and Cal didn't showcase all of the facets of their games.

I can't even say Calipari is overrated because everyone understands what he does at this point, but damn dude does relatively nothing when they get there. Other than the one title, he should be ashamed.

It's scary cause Booker is still so young and will continue to develop. He may not be a complete player for the next 5 years which should have the rest of the NBA on guard.

The game comes pretty naturally for booker, this guy is going to be a star. He's much better then Kobe at 19

This dude is only 19, youngest player in the league and yet his offensive game already looks fukkin POTENT as all hell. He handles the ball better already too. Only thing right now he REALLY REALLY gonna need to focus on is defense, cause Klay eclipses him on on that aspect.

I think Devin is a better slasher with better handles than Klay.

But Klay is just bigger, better shooter, has a little post game, and can defend at a high level. Devin has some ways to go before he gets to Klay's level, I don't think he'll ever be the defender Klay is but he's nice AF. The rookies last season delivered.
