Can one argue that "It Was Written" was better than "illmatic"

some people say Prodigy still hasn't recovered since getting buried in 01' at the korakuen hall. Dame was in the running for top 3 managers beside Suge and Puffy.

I just remembered, I saw Mobb Deep a couple months ago play the same former Elks Lodge that I saw an local indie wrestling fed do a show at like a week later. That's a total shoot, brother

I thought C-N-N and the Lox had a good run (before getting buried by Puffy). Remember when Jadakiss shoot on Puffy by saying he was going to throw a double door joint refridgerator down when he made his entrance at Mania? :russ:

Outlawz had Pac/Suge booking though :wow:

Jay-Z just stole moves from NJPW and early WWF to be 100 percent. Like we all didn't see the GTS in NOAH :russ:

I told everybody who would listen in 1994 that Nas should have went over Biggie and won the WWF Championship but apparently, moving merchandise was more important. No disrespect to Biggie though.

Once they turned him heel and he went Escobar, it was over. It was Nas' company. I dare anyone to tell me that he didn't have a top five GOAT WWF Championship reign.
B.I.G was actually shocked that Nas got WWF Slammy's Lyricst of the year award tho. You do have a point there, I just wish the fans would have showed up during his house show reign, didn't Nas beat Snoop in 39 seconds after powebombinb him at Madison square garden in Nov 94?

Nas had the GOAT workrate even inspired Pac on makaveli :wow:

Low key the LOX running the game with FREEBIRD RULES was a GOAT tag team run...honestly i like the freebird rules dynamic...it worked for Run DMC, LOX, and to a lesser extent G-Unit

The amazing thing is when Nas turned heel and won the strap, people started calling him lazy and that he wasn't the same worker two years before, but his storytelling and mic skills improved so much during that time.

His shoot promo on Biggie :wow:

The triple threat with Mobb Deep at SummerSlam :wow:

The Trackmasters as his personal security :wow:

The Dre match at Survivor Series............:troll:

I feel bad for Snoop though. He was never the same after that injury and politics killed his title run.

Which is what we missing in the game right now, stables. I wish LOX would have gotten their royalities right, didn't they join ruff ryders stable when DMX got his main-event run in 98-2000?

or was i just imagenining :wow:

I think Nas fans just wanted him to turn face so they could cheer him again SMH. THey want dude to work in PWG,CZW, Full sail university NXT and other smaller crowds just so they could have them. They didn't want him to turn heel and get the masses to buy his merch. Those headbands and t shirts were sick. Nas shoot promo on biggie about seeing Lil Kim days was :wow: so much so that Pac thought he was throwing a sub at him. Glad Pac/Nas squashed it, I heard Meltzer say that they were going to face biggie at surivor series that year with Death row East.

Mobb Deep had a good run even though they only held the tag team titles 3 times. Trackmasters was teh GOAT entourage they helped take nas out of bingo halls and Steve Stoute was the best manager Nas had. Dre workrate really decreesed at summer slam 96 that year I heard he dipped before Suge and Pac had their tag match later on.

Snoop was the GOAT at one point I htought he would hold the wwf strap forever, his stable was dope. Kurupt was one of the GOAT intercontinental champs, a true worker before his demons got him. Daz was a Marty Jannetty and Shawn Michaels at the same time out of the dog pound. I wish Nate would have got his TV Title run before an injury shelved him, heard he got the title then a day later had to forfeit. He came back tho in 2001. :wow:

DMX coulda carried the industry back in the day. Him and Jay-Z had house show business peaking before X got caught with all those wellness violations. Ruff Ryders was looking like a top tier stable and coulda had a huge angle vs. RocaFella. Its like the Def Jam lost faith in him and immediately started burying him and giving him lousy booking.

You seen one Snoop match, you seen 'em all. He barely switched his style up, but playing it safe got him the money and the miles. :yeshrug:

Edit: Forgot about his work down south and his old man run :snoop: Ed got it covered below.

Whats wild is everyone was hype about snoop's american debut, and he was MOLTEN hot during his first run...but by the time he got his second title people were done with him.

His comeback when he went to the southern territory and was managed by Master-P was surprisingly good. His workrate was maybe a step back, but his presentation and production values were better than his second title run for sure. Low key, 99 snoop > 96 snoop for sure...

IDK though, later in his career, when he was managed by pharrell, he slowed his style down and switched it up from the faster uptempo pace he kept up in the western territories. It added years to his career and he had some huge matches during that era.
