Can one argue that "It Was Written" was better than "illmatic"

Nas and AZ were the GOAT tag team. :ahh:

But I wasn't feeling The Firm as a stable.

The back of the firm cover was like when nWo started adding too many members in the end :scusthov:
The Firm album was just timed wrong. This was right after Death Row went out and you had Suge Knight coming out on motorcycles wearing a crown saying it's good to be the king. :upsetfavre:

I don't think Dre was in the right frame of mind after getting buried by Suge and 2Pac . I think the firm and aftermath album really exposed Dr. Dre's workrate because it made people realize he got carried most of his career . When you think about it when he was on his own it was :yeshrug:

but damn When Mel-Man came back from Japan and brought back Scott Storch who worked with the roots in NJPW was :wow:

That Still Dre comeback, and when Eminem got scooped up from ROH really inspired Dre :whew:

I think NaS and Jay-z competition was good for the business at the end of the day. The business was ridulded with accusations of sterioud abuse and house show attendance was down. You have to remember Nas/Jay-z drew over 80,000 at the toyko dome. Let me take you back this was after the business was so dark when 2Pac died of a heart attack brought on by steriod abuse and Biggie died of an overdose at a motel 8. They looked at snoop at one point but he tore his MCL after doggystyle so this fued was needed.
