Can one of you basketball geniuses explain why Mosgov got hardly any burn in the second half?

They blew an 11 point lead with 3 minutes left.

Cavs have blown late leads several times this post season. Has more to do with their lack of an offense late in games.

Their offense is basically, let Lebron jack up shots and hope for an offensive rebound. Surprisingly, its worked. It should have failed last night, except curry decided to have a career off-night.

The offense goes into the tank when Thompson is on the floor and Mozgov isn't.

And for the most part that didn't happen last night, or more specifically they couldn't take advantage of it. But that's still far better a match up than Mozgov on Curry
Steph went right by Thompson for the game tying basket in regulation and when Thompson switches you bring your best rebounder out of the paint. GS got a bunch of orebs down the stretch and in ot.

You don't have to switch and you don't have to put Moz on Draymond. You hide him on AI and live with him getting looks.

Cavs can't out smallball GS without Love and Kyrie. No matter who they have out there GS is going to get good shots. At least with Mozgov on the floor the offense doesn't suffer and you can try to attack Green in the paint.

The offense goes to hell whenever the Cavs try to play prevent defense in the clutch.

Offense looks best with Moz on the court.:yeshrug:

It is situational though. Next game, the Warriors might actually figure out MozGov's positioning and make him a non-factor. Warriors need to understand Bogut will not be able to do shyt against him.

Yeah, I'm not saying Moz for TT is guaranteed to work or anything just don't like keeping Moz on the bench unless you're getting killed on the defensive side and not able to offset with your offense. TT really needs to work on a mid-range over the summer or at least learn how to catch and finish at the rim. No reason he can't at least be Tyson Chandler offensively.

:dwillhuh: He's won four already
Win a series on his own.. My point was in response to someone saying green pushing and making 3 pointers is why mozgov shouldn't be in the game when gs goes small.. Going with 4 smalls and mozgov would be just as effective, and relieve Bron of some of the scoring issues.. Tristan has been good on the boards but has fumbled and bumbled the ball way too much in the paint
