Can people name good Vince Russo storylines in his post-WWE career?

nikka no he didn't lol. No diss to Shawn but he didn't inspire me to be anything but an immature cocky little shyt when I was in middle school :russ: been a Christian since I was playing ring around the rosey on the playground

I was happy to see him turn his life around but that's for a different thread
:mjlol:

Yeah but that shyt is sporadic. I thought of the punk thing and they were red hot but again not consistently. Like you said few and far in between. Compared to 97-early 01 when it was must see programming every damn week. I couldn't imagine discussing raw with you all back then because I wouldn't want anything taking me away from the tv. Now? The coli threads are the highlights of the programs
More to do with the wrestlers then than Russo. Programming continued to uptick after he left.

What's this? :lupe:
Russo & Ed would hide behind cameras and make decisions to slowly remove the veterans while pushing the new guys like Benoit, Jarret, Vampiro, Filthy Animals etc. Bret would finally get a main event push to be the top face teaming with Goldberg. Filthy Animals digging up Flair in the desert :mjlol: Hogan leaving, Savage quitting. Curt Henning would end up joining the powers that be to keep his job.It will build up to what we saw with the New Blood vs The Legends with Eric leading them. The angle was scraped when Bret and Jarrett got injured and they fired Russo to bring back Sullivan which led to The Radicalz leaving.

That wasn't good. Just like most of his storylines, the stable got overcrowded and the storyline overstayed its welcome.

Seems like @Bars4TheCause is another Russo groupie. :mjlol::umad: I bet he can't give a good answer for this thread either.

Yeah that shyt started as a good idea and then turned to shyt

Russo created The Beautiful People

He wrote the glory years of TNA.

Bash at the Beach 2000 the storyline with Hogan would of been great if Hogan wasn't an insecure bytch.

The Goldberg doesn't follow the script storyline was more entertaining than anything WWE's done in almost a decade.

The storyline between Russo and Flair is hilarious to this day.

"Ric Flair you piece of shyt" :russ:

His WCW plans included

A royal rumble for the title where the champ Sid starts out and makes it to the end only for Tank Abbott to come out and win the title.

An Avengers inspired stable starring Hogan, Flair, Macho Man, Mr. Perfect and Roddy Piper

and more funny shyt.

I don't remember if he was responsible for the stable or not, but he actually wanted to push The Natural Born Thrillers who all had potential especially Sean O'Haire. Russo actually wanted to push the young guys, something everyone in TSC seems to agree was one of the most important things for WCW to do. Booker T won his first World Title under Russo.

Let's be real the people who hate Russo hate him because he doesn't give a shyt about wrestling matches and because he booked himself and David Arquette to be champion. Most of everything Russo booked was entertaining but he never tried to book for the crowd that likes technical wrestling. He's never going to appeal to what @mrken12 wants thats the complete opposite of his style.

Edit: I don't think Aces & Eights was Russo, according to wikipedia he was gone from TNA at that point.

Vampiro vs Sting was one of my favourite angles of the early 00's. shyt was fiyah!

I don't know if Russo was responsible, but The Revolution stable and subsequent storylines were dope.

Ehhh, thats not the way Prichard & Cornette talks about it

And that's not the way he talks about it lol and i know he and Cornette don't like each other. At that point, it becomes believe who you believe. There's his side, their side, and the truth. As long as no one can get on the same page and get their egos out of the way, we'll never know the absolute truth. Maybe when they all pass someone will do that
