Ok so he has kryptonite why not just fly to space and zap his ass and the fight is done ?

Superman is faster than light so explain to me why he can't just run and shoot the laser?

Because that's the argument anyone can put forth to literally every superhero/villain.

"Why doesn't Dr. Doom just nuke the Fantastic 4 headquarters with his magic since he knows where they live?"

Why doesn't Venom just kill Spiderman in his sleep, he knows where he lives and spider sense no work against big bad".

Why doesn't Flash just kill every villain he goes up against by punching them into oblivion.

Gotta add story, trials and tribulations, or else you're just killing people off like fodder.

What the fukk is this prep time?

Lol, im not letting that nikka prep shyt im knocking him out before he hits the bat cave....

Its a constant joke used to determine how Batman could beat anyone, which is usually taken from the comics and animated movies wherein he takes weeks to develop a solution or formulae to some very big bad villains. Batman vs Superman extrapolates this perfectly, in fact, the whole animated film was about Batman's prep time. You have to also keep in mind that they were friends before hand, so Bats had plenty of time to do the R&D. It's also why Dr. Doom is Marvel's Batman, all he does is prep.

For the sake of the upcoming movie, Batman already knows how powerful he is, and he knows several weaknesses, that's already enough time to prep.

First and foremost, Superman has to be smart, his arch nemesis is Lex
Superman is a literally a god compared to Batman
The only reason why Superman would lose to Batman is because Batman wouldn't mind breaking the rules to get the W.

Superman loses because he is the Boy Scout and Batman is not.........however I don't believe in the notion that Superman loses to Batman every time.

In the Dark Knight Returns comic he talks about how he can weaponize Kryptonite in ways that go past just lasers and bullets and such. He could prob make an odorless, undetectable kryptonite gas that kills Supes in seconds, or some kind of virus that can do the same.

And getting really into the comics here, Batman has alien technology that would put tony stark to shame, and magic artiacts, superweapons, crazy stuff, etc. stored in the batcave that he doesn't use, so there's that

Batman can win via the PIS-field (plot induced stupidity) and CIS-field (character induced stupidity). In other words, Batman shouldn't win but would via bad writing. We've seen this in comics that had the Black Cat not only beating Sabertooth, but was inches from killing him until a person begged her to stop hurting Sabertooth. Yeah, the same Sabertooth that gives Wolverine all he can handle was not just losing but being destroyed by the Black Cat. Terrible writing. We've seen Spider-Man beating the living crap out of Firelord, who has been blessed with the Power Cosmic like the Silver Surfer. In other words, Firelord fights out in space with cosmic powers but Spider-Man's fist was simply too much for him. Again, terrible writing.

For a long time, writers tend to make humans or low-level superhumans beat people much stronger than themselves and have great showings. All while writing cosmic level heroes stupidly and having them lose to regular people. I guess it sells. But it's bad from a technical standpoint.
