Who said that you have to live in the metro areas. Most y’all nikkas be on the coli and internet all day based on the out of touch shii that y’all post. So why are you in the metro area?

Even then most people in big cities have roommates. Even Jay Z had a roommate at one point.

So let’s say you and a friend go half on a two bedroom split bills and everything

And let’s say the apartment was 2500 a month

You only paying 1250 a person which is doable with a 50k salary
Metro area =/= "the big city" literally, especially since y'all think that onky equals Top 5 cities.

50K after taxes is about 35K. 1250x12= $15K. So even rooming as a grown ass man you're still at 30% of your gross and 43% of your net pay just to have a roof over your head that isn't in your mama's name. No utilities, groceries, phone, cable/internet, car notes/insurance/gas/maintenance. The fact you HAVE to have roommates is an issue.

Niqqas not moving to Bowling Green make 50K in 2022 livable. Just because something is mathematically the average doesn't make it okay.

The average salary is buoyed up by the insane amounts the highest paid people make. In reality, probably 80% of the country makes less than $35,000 a year.

50k after taxes is more like 40k you have a roommate so y’all splitting expenses.

What’s wrong with having a roommate in the first place :dahell:

Only 28% of Americans live alone. It’s not the norm at all.

Base salary is $90k/year. Bonus is between $10k and $15k/year.

Wife makes $65k/year.

I'd say we're probably above average for ALL Black people but fairly normal for Blacks in big southern cities (Dallas).

The amount you make matters, but how long you've made money matters too. The young breh that went from $0 to making $120k/year versus the dude that has averaged $95k/year for 10 years...very different circumstances.

Feel like you really "make it" as a breh when your net, after-tax/take home money is over $100k or $8,334/month.

I would say 50-80 is the avg for most brothers with a degree or a trade.
30k-40 for warehouse/retail brothers

He didn't say it was a bad salary, just that it doesn't go as far and that's true.

$150,000 is the new baller threshold
