From 3rd to 5th grade my nickname was FUBU

Anyone interested in originals DM me

Got platinum collections, city collections a bunch of 05 and a few 92 but I won’t part with the 92

FUBU is now back and it has a Walmart distro deal

They got FUBU knock off AJ1s actually (basically) and they just announced the return of the Platinum collection on Twitter

I hear you.......The fall off was so sudden them cats never got a chance to pivot and introduce new lines for the emerging markets.......lord forbid they ever try and re launch........they would get flamed
Platinum fubu was an excellent pivot and extended the run. Then they tried to go from fat Albert to Harlem globe trotters IP. didn’t work.

Black designers aside. clothing lines don’t last. Ralph, Gucci etc are exceptions. TOMMY was massive and fell into laughing stock status around the time fubu fell off.

Fubu, the designs were too mid 90s and stale. I remember looking for the next things in fashion and it was shyt loke evisu jeans. We growing up, starting to go to clubs and looking to wear that next aspirational thing that others couldn’t afford (unfortunately)

For Fubu, I just think there designs were just too mid 90s to continue being hot, it was stale and I don’t think there was much opportunity to transition that brand into something nikkas was view as aspirational or current.

I’m gonna disagree about the Avirex and leather bombers. The price increase may be above inflation but I’m not privy to all the dynamics about leather good creation. But a Avirex leather will never be out of style, maybe out of the fashion norm. You definitely still see people rocking Avirex with modern fits.
Not out of style. Out of current fashion. In the 90s, everybody had a Avirex. Just like everybody had a fubu

While always being stylish, they don’t even sell the old school flight jackets anymore. Those have gone completely out of style. They only have about 20 of the classics style we remember from the 90s.

They’re downsized just like Fubu. They aren’t going back into mass production. They’ll make a couple limited releases and boutique sales.

The staples in urban fashion mainly come from shoewear. Certain shoes will always be in style. Maybe hats. Accessories. Everything else, you can’t even come outside in 5 years later or people look at you crazy.

It’s not a polo shirt.
