That would beat USC, USC didn't do shyt this year that would indicate they'd beat TCU. Their best win this year was like Notre Dame. Their schedule was a cake walk. If they were that good they would've been in the playoff instead of at home watching with the rest of us.

Michigan would've also beaten USC. I'm not sure USC would've beaten a single team in the final top ten poll.

They lost twice the 10th ranked team twice one of which was a complete ass whipping and Lost to Tulane. You're overrating them due to bias.

All I know is a certain back-to-back national champion spent 30+ years as an also-ran until the SEC became the conference over the last decade which helped to boost their profile to the point they became repeat champions.

That is usually what happens in sports. More people in play means other raise their profile and now they all competing. It just takes time.

Honestly this mentality is why I hate when people laugh at the smaller bowls. As an emu alum I was very glad we went to and won the Idaho potato bowl. An emu season with 9 wins and a bowl W is fukkin fun. And we appreciate it. Saying "that's a bullshyt team what's the point" and handwaving whole size and scopes of schools, let alone their athletic programs. Emu isn't even that great a school admittedly, but my life has been *real* good since I graduated. And I'll forever support emu over anyone including the other flag in my avatar.
