Time will tell...

You think Banks is a superstar caliber rapper...I DON"T...

Soon or later will see who the real prophet is....

This proves nothing because like I've already stated.. you have no idea what youre talking about.

It's clear who and who doesn't listen to Banks like that with statements like this. that's all im going to say.

OF COURSE, I don't listen to Banks...That's EXACTLY why I am saying he is a minion...

I am not Banks fan, and never will be...The OP asked "Can Tony Yayo & Lloyd Banks Be Successful Without 50 Cent ?"

My answer is NO, and I stated my reasons, based on the fact that I don't care about Banks and Yayo...

If you think Banks will be a A List rapper, then you are a delusional fan...:lolbron:

NO...
They were branded as 50 Cent's minion (Banks) and hypeman (Yayo)...So, the fan base will always see them as such...Because they don't have the talent to re-invent themselves and bring something different and exciting to the game...

Banks is the type who will collaborate with whoever is hot to catch a buzz...In BBall speak, "he can't create his own shot"...He needs a good point guard...

You can compare it to Rick Ross, Meek Mill and Wale...Even though, I don't listen to their music, as a fan of hip hop, I see those three as MMG, but only as far as a label is concerned...
Musically, I don't associate Wale with Rick Ross...Wale is Wale...I also don't associate Meek Mill with Rick Ross...The way Rick Ross has branded them is as superstars collaborating with each other...They are all talented individuals using the MMG machine to get ahead...

Wale and Meek Mill are not branded as "yes men" who have no control over the direction of their art...

That's why Wale and Meek Mill can leave MMG and take their fan base with them where ever they go, but Banks and Yayo can't really do that...The majority of people whoo support Yayo and Banks do it because of the 50 affiliation...

I fcuks with 50, but I don't fcuks with Yayo and Banks, I tolerate them because they are with 50, if they leave the G-Unit circle, I will NOT have a reason to pay attention to their careers, unless they surprise me and really bring something fresh and exciting....
what the fukk are you talking about lmaooooooooooooooooooo

What is important to add here is that they are in their situation by their own fault. 50 wanted them to branch out but they were too lazy

(1) Did you read the original question...? Lloyd Banks was successful because of 50Cent...We KNOW THAT...The OP asks can he be successful without 50...? My answer is a SUCCINCT NO...

(2) I understand you are a fan, and you are emotionally invested in seeing your hero win...But take yourself outside your fandom, and look at the entire landscape of hip hop, and you really see Banks as a household name like Lil Wayne, Drake, Kanye, Kendrick Lamar...?

(3) Of course, 50 gave Banks a nice niche fan base, and Banks can always release "classic type projects" for that niche fan base...

If that is the standard you are using for "successful" then almost every rapper we make fun of on this forum is "successful"...Because they are releasing "classic type" material for their fans, and they are going on tours...

1. lloyd banks has not spoken or collab with 50 in over like 5 or 6 years

2. being drake, kanye and lil wayne is not a measure of success you idiot.

3. you dont have any knowledge of his material. therefore your speaking in the dark about this topic

If you have an opinion, state it...So, I can challenge your opinion...
I am not interested into personal attacks...Since, you know my track record with postings, then you can see that I try to avoid personal attacks...
There is NO need for it...For all you know, we could be best friends if we ever met in the Offline world...

I stated my opinion about Banks and Yayo...I was genuine with my opinion...If you think differently, state why you think differently...

If you are too cool to care about my opinion, then don't engage with me...Online and Offline, I am a disagreeable type of guy...I love to debate, argue and discuss...

I never get tired or bored when people engage me...

In the future, if you think my opinion is dumb and ridiculous, don't engage, because I am LOVE it..It is sport for me...

Just put me on ignore (which is bytch-made in my humble opinion) but if you are too emotionally fragile to handle people who don't agree with your point view, then do what is necessary to protect your personal well being...

(1) And nobody, except his core fans which for the most part G-unit fans in general, has given fcuk about Banks in the past 5 to years...Which other rappers are talking about Banks and a collabo with Banks...?

This is one way I judge rappers, by how much other rappers are talking about them...If your peers aren't excited about your work, and your name is not immediately on their lips, that's how you know you are irrelevant...

(2) I agree being Kanye and etc is not the measure of success, but the original poster did not clarify what he meant by "successful", so I used examples that are most familiar to all of us...We all know who Drake, Kanye and etc are...

However, Banks current level of success is LARGELY due to his affiliation with 50 Cent and G-Unit, and therefore, it will be almost IMPOSSIBLE, to separate any future success with the G-Unit brand...

Thus, for Banks to be considered "successful" without 50 Cent, he would have to be a household name like Kanye West, Drake and Lil Wayne because that is the creme de la creme in hip hop conversations...

Otherwise, I will just keep believing without 50 Cent, Banks would have just been another Mook Murda and Reedz Dolla and the likes...

(3) I do knowledge of his material in the verses in did for 50 and G-Unit, and based on that knowledge I have just never seen him as the type of rapper I could listen to for 60 minutes straight...

He was good for a nice 16 to give 50 some variety, and that's about it...

In conclusion,
Banks is like the Kramer character in "Seinfeld"...He is great in the context of "Seinfeld/G Unit"...But I just don't see a full TV-Series based on that character...I don't see a spin-off of Seinfeld with Kramer as the focus...Unless the writers are talented geniuses...

That's all I am saying...Of course, Banks has his fans that will always support him and even consider him their personal GOAT...

But Generally speaking, the hip hop fan base does NOT consider Banks as a GOAT or potential GOAT...Period.
