You can't be a free thinker and regurgitate right wing talking points. Free thinkers = Propagandist, grifters. A lot of them are from the right wing but you'll find some on the "left" as well.

It's really complicated.
Generally, I think "free thinkers" basically come in 2 categories:
A. Genuine 3rd Party or Independent voters who distrust the mainstream media and 2 Party system
B. Closet Republicans/Right Wingers
The first group makes some valid points regarding media propaganda, corrupt politicians, and pointing out misinformation but they usually don't offer too much viable or practical solutions on addressing it nor do they actually vote for or rally behind people or movements who share their beliefs which makes them sort of ineffective as a group.
The second group are just people who understand how batshyt insane many Republicans are but still hold moderate conservative views. So, instead of outright embracing the GOP, they agree with certain policies and talking points under the guise of being a "free thinker" while not fully embracing them as a party.

Right. And more ppl are being radicalized by YouTube everyday and it's ppl of all ages and walks of life. Some of the conspiracies that only had place in certain groups are slowly becoming more mainstream.
This is bullshyt. This is absolute bullshyt.
"I just don’t support abortion. How do I respond to that?" Just say you don't support abortion. If people are actually saying all that shyt, ignore them.
Now where things get sticky is you say "I don't support abortion" and use that as license to remove everyone elses choice to have one or not by voting in someone who also doesn't support it. Even worse when the guy you support *solely* for his abortion stance is openly advocating a bunch of other harmful shyt. You can't say "I donated a magazine to the kids on the corner with the rifle" and then not expect blowback when we point out that your magazine is being used to shoot people. As an adult, make your choice, but stand on that shyt. Don't be scared of blowback, analyze if your decision was worthy of scorn.

I said you can do both but don't be shocked if people shortly thereafter don't like you. You mentioned the 12 year old (likely alluding to the 10 year old)when this is absolutely one of many situations where abortion is a necessary medical tool. Don't like abortions? Cool, don't have one. Vote for someone who is going to take away the option from everyone? Absolutely be ready to catch heat. I don't support firearms. Guess what? I don't have one.
