Man look I'm not trying to play semantic games but you just said what I said is a lie but when you vote for a deplorable guy you get in trouble. Really, a single person that you think is deplorable is all it takes. We see this playing out with Killer Mike right now. Got a lifetime of being a solid brother and supporting Democrats, the first time he endorses a single Republican and look at how these goofies react. Got articles comparing this man to Kanye West and saying he's "dangerous".


Ice Cube drafted up a plan for Black America and talked to both sides and these shameless Democrat shills ain't let up because he had the nerve to try to talk to Republicans too.

Is this consistent with all people who vote democratic? Or is this another case of zeroing in on detractors? If Killer Mike is solid, he is solid. Notice folks will be all giddy if he says the right stuff but then it is fat c00n if he does something they don't like.

Simple answer? Stop worrying about other peoples input so much. Vote in who you want as we are adults, but know that when you pick certain people, you riding with all the shyt they offer for better or worse. This is not a personal attack, this is just how it is.

So if you say you vote for this guy, we look up his platform and stuff he has done, and all of those are confirmed, you know exactly why you got called all those names.

Voting is not a-la-carte. You pick a guy, you picked his platform. That is now your guy. Everything he gets to do from here on out was supported by your vote. Again, just vote who you want and ignore naysayers, but understand, you don't get to vote in a vacuum and not accept all the other shyt a dude said he was going to do.

And I told you why people may call you that: Abortion is apart of his platform. I wouldn't call you those things, but if you read "I support banning abortions" and that was all it took, you bought him like property sight unseen and have to eat all the other stuff that comes with him.

I get where you are coming from so I'm not gonna belabor this point anymore, but your guy can vote to ban abortion. Then he might cut school funding and give tax breaks. Or he might do good. Or he might be on the opposing side to a black unionization effort. Your guy is more than the single issue that got you to cast a vote and other people will react hostile towards you because of abortion and more that the guy will be able to affect to their detriment.

Not doing something that 90% of the people around you are doing would define one as a free thinker.

If you go to a school and 90% of the student body smokes Newports, how would you properly describe the 10% that don’t?

Saying they’re free thinkers doesn’t mean their thoughts are original (no such thing).

It just means they're free from group think. No different than being a white progressive from rural West Virginia. Or an evangelical Christian in Afghanistan.

My bad. I thought liberal and conservative were just different words for dems and republicans. Being neither one, i really only gleaned what i know bout this stuff from things ive read online(mostly here).

But i guess it makes sense. From what i gather some dems seem kinda conservative as well now that u mention it. I like to think of myself as left leaning center.

Technically the United States is modeled after the 18th century concept of a liberal democracy which gave way to the dismantling of monarchs and the beginning of modern governments.

We have two parties that are only intended to balance out and explore a left-right spectrum with our laws.

I will say that since Trump, Republicans seem more openly supportive of a one party, one leader fascist rule than the ideals of Democracy. They are now denying every election loss since the insurrection, their candidates are running on conspiracies and lies, they are pushing for laws making it harder for certain people to vote, theyre banning "woke literature" or anything that encourages critical thought about American society and replacing it with brain dead "teach them to love America" nationalist indoctrination nonsense in schools, they are challenging civil rights in courts, in fact they are stacking up every tier of our government with unqualified hacks who are there to obstruct anything liberals or Democrats do, they want to impose a national identity of white, English speaking Christians as full Americans while demonizing non-english speaking, non-Christian immigrants as threatening invaders who do not belong, they seem to have no interest whatsoever in coexisting with a left wing of their country, which is what Democracy is based off of. They want liberals and liberalism completely eliminated in America and a right wing, white Christian nationalist government in its place. They truly are becoming an oppressive fascist party.

But anytime someone in the 2020s has called themselves a "freethinker", at least that I've seen, just spouts right-wing talking points from FOX News. And when you call them out they'll just say "I'm just asking questions" or accuse you of being a shill. It seems like it's just the new "Libertarian", ie. "I just don't want to flat out say I'm a Republican". Seems to be another word like "woke" that cacs and people like Kanye co-opted and ruined.

Yeah freethinker is basically a Libertarian.

You got the Trump set which is basically white people that WERE swing voters but liked all that "white people are the REAL victims" shyt. They voted for Reagan, Bush, Clinton...maybe even 1st term Obama

You mentioned the 12 year old (likely alluding to the 10 year old)when this is absolutely one of many situations where abortion is a necessary medical tool. Don't like abortions? Cool, don't have one. Vote for someone who is going to take away the option from everyone? Absolutely be ready to catch heat. I don't support firearms. Guess what? I don't have one.
