He was alright. Had a few songs I liked. He found the right formula for the time got the most he could out of it, can't hate on that.

right and i find it hilarious when nelly throws fits these days about the lack of respect he gets for his career..yes em is the only cat in that era that outsold you but he also has a foundation of being an absolutely great MC who can outshine any rapper on a given night..KRS tried to tell him but he didn't listen lol
Hated on him at first,then lived right outside st Lou for a few years and thought he wasn't so bad that's just the culture out there.
I still can't find a Nelly album listenable...he had a few good records on Country grammar and I used to play Hot in Herre when I DJed because the ladies would go crazy in the clubs, but his albums are highway frisbees...his albums are the perfect causation for MP3 players/Ipods so you can pick the 1 or 2 good songs and throw the rest of shyt in the garbage bin
