Can we look back at the Iman and JR Smith trade for a second?

Yall are really overlooking how terrible they were the last year and a half they were in NY. Yea they're doing better because they're getting less opportunity to fukk up lol

I'm rooting for them to get that ring though :myman:
meh, sometimes it's the culture. They were bad but so was the rest of the team, better for both parties to separate but I still think Phil could have got more

Some people think players magically get better in their 4th and 10th seasons in the nba.

NY should have let CLE drown.

Season was pure fukkery, Bron taking HGH vacations and Blatt was going to get fired before the ASG. Team was weak as hell prior to the trades.

:snoop:
They were on the brink of a straight up collapse. Shyt would have been hilarious. Phil's dumb ass threw them a life raft.

Yea they could've gotten a 1st rounder for Shump if they traded him last season, although Phil wasn't there yet. But Phil didn't even want to trade Shump forreal. He had to include him just to get a team to take J.R. off his hands, that should let you know right there how low his stock was at the time.

I think phil was just trying to clean house and didnt give a fukk. And shumpert is still fukking garbage hate that dude. He was either injured, turning the ball over, missing layups or clanking jumpshots.

Yet you defend every move Fat boy Melo makes out here :camby:

Thank God Shump & JR got out of that shythole organization

You obviously must not know my posting style I'm the first to shyt on Melo if he on some bullshyt. You aint never seen a post of mine saying Melo is the best player in the league or no bullshyt like that cause he aint never been, go back and check my posts lil homie. I just correct yall clowns who go to the extreme and say dumb shyt like Melo aint a top 100 player and shouldn't be in the league is a bad nba player and silly shyt like that and shump still garbage no handles no jumpshot and no finishing ability at all, now jr my dude been my guy since denver. Just cause I fukk with a certain player doesn't mean that player is without flaws

No go find some post where I'm defending everything Melo does........ima wait

Shumpert is playing way over his head.

JR Smith playing at his career averages.

LeBron got yall fooled... these guys are solid, but to think they the difference is hilarious.

Cavs go as LeBron goes.. just like before the trades.

Even at that level, you can get better for those 2 guys.

Shumpert and Smith were traded because they weren't fitting into the system Phil wants to create in New York, and moving those two guys saves the Knicks a lot of money.

You twerps.
It doesn't matter if they put up 30 a game in Cleveland.

Their value was no where near high enough to get Reggie Jackson at the time, and I'm sure Phil still tried to anyway. Whats funny about all of this Shumpert is balling in the playoffs talk, was he actually had his best stretch of the season in the first few weeks of the season with the Knicks; I'm pretty sure Shumpert was shooting for %50 percent of the field at one point, and his three point percentage was close to %50 too, then he came back hard down to earth.
