How could the Bawse have lost when hes done nothing but gain since the beef??
50 only won one battle and that was his first when he had momentum.
By the time he fought Ross (an underdog in his first tussle) there was no one willing to give 50 the benefit of the doubt. He'd become annoying and music wasnt hit anyway.
He couldnt shift Ross out the industry like he did Ja. and destroying Ross career was what 50 aimed for and missed badly..thats why he lost.

It's not a myth. You can come with the hardest disses ever, but if you follow it up with sub-par music, it doesn't matter. Exposing somebody isn't going to end anyone's career. Dropping music that people no longer find interesting or listenable will though. 50 was dissing Rick Ross and then drops Before I Self Destruct. He went from going double platinum two years prior to doing the same numbers as Ross. After Before I Self Destruct, 50 couldn't even get a release for his next album and it was flopped single after flopped single. Meanwhile, Ross returns with Teflon Don and it's bigger than his previous album. That's not counting the mixtapes and the features. Then he has other artists buzzing. To make matters worse, 50's complaining about Dre not mixing his records. Meanwhile, Dre is buying Ross watches for his birthday, getting Ross to write for him, and later appears on Ross's album.

I aint no Ross stan. But...shyt aint a myth. There's no doubt that Ross won the war. Come to think of it....since the beef popped off, Curtis has been on the decline. People praising diss tracks that I aint ever heard of (must not be too tight if it didn't create any buzz). Curly stans are soo desperate, they trying to use Banks' diss in this 50 vs Ross thread. Just to name a few:

-Mafia Music / Foreclosures > Any 50 diss track (other than 50 having a woodface, which i dont know what that meant, and being named Curly, and i dont know what that means either, I dont remember one memorable diss from ross)
-Ross is way more musically relevant then Curtis (in current mainstream clearly, although 50's peak is higher than Ross and also has more classic tracks than Ross.....)
-Ross can still float on a beat, while 50 trying to stay afloat in life
-50 could never push his homies/label to the heights that Ross has done with his (stop... Tony yayo went platinum, who on MMG other than Ross went platnium)
-Wing Stop > Any failing Curtis business venture (vitamin water)
-Ross style sense > swagless Curtis and his Jorts
-Be hated by your own seed
-Be the definition of Karma
-Attempt to sue a lawfirm
-Let wrinkled ass Chelsea Handler sit on your woodface

If anyone remembers how this beef started and why mafia music was made, it was because Ross said 50 "looked at him funny" during the BET awards. If that holds at face value, thats pretty insecure..... Street and diss tracks went to 50, Ross had the better album and it was well known Ross was ascending in his career as 50 was already on his down slope (losing to Kanye in that records battle did that)....... This is the KRS to Nelly battle again in the sense that one is clearly more relevant to hip hop history than the other, but times of career and support of mainstream (as well those being the scenes and 50 pissing everybody outside of Interscope and pissing off Iovine)...... Like, Nelly was more successful than KRS after their battle, but could you ever say Nelly won a battle, come on.. he just survived it.

I guess it might be I just don't like Ross' style like that but if we actually containing the beef/battle to the tracks I def liked Tia Told me over any of Ross' records.

Like that Mafia Music shyt nikkas is geeking over...I don't know man, I understand the appeal and why people fukk with this shyt but I be seeing yall string together "quotables" from dude that just don't connect. Way better diss tracks came out of the g-unit camp and this is me at least making a decent effort to be objective about it. Thing is people aren't talking about THAT.

They ain't judge the shyt off of the conflict, they judging off the after effects. He's getting credit for surviving, not for winning. If Ross "won" this with simply maintaining his momentum after the exchange then we might as well say Jay beat Nas too.

:troll:

I think it really just puts 50's "win" over Ja in proper perspective that even he understood. Ja beat himself by losing the crowd and so did 50. And truth be told he lost it before it got to that point to Kanye. Even if he had "ended" Ross (nobody's career has ended over a song) it wouldn't have helped him any. He was still gonna get edged out by frauds, fruit pops and mid-tier trap rappers. That nikka was the last Tyransaurus Rex walking...we will never see another "gangsta" rapper do it that big. He's gone now.

:mjcry:
Yea, the actually disses were better from 50/Unit but as you said he lost the ear of the people.

Whats crazy is while Ross was gaining steam, he wasn't even that big of a star. He was a 2nd tier southern rapper whos biggest songs was Hustlin' (came out like 3yrs earlier) and that Boss shyt with T-Pain. This beef was a real catalyst in his ascension.

That has hurt Unit stans souls knowing this. This beef gave him listeners he might not of got otherwise. You can literally track the tonal shift in how his music was received prior to and after this whole ordeal. It went from "Ross is cool, he got some beats" to "Yo, Ross is kinda nice wit it"....and it didn't have anything to do his disses! It was just people giving his music a honest listen for the 1st time.

Rick Ross didn't lose but he didn't win either

When 50 wins a beef, the rapper goes missing (Ja Rule, Camron, Fat Joe)

Rick Ross SURVIVED. You can't say 50 lost when he's still popping. Power, SMS etc
