Sounds like some shyt straight out of a neo-Nazi playbook.

Fortunately for us, American politics are not controlled by an on or off switch.
American politics are not required to take an all or nothing approach. It is the flawed human reactions that are responsible

So not standing for one extreme or the other is standing for nothing now??

Not having a refined political ideology is essentially standing for nothing. This "moderate" you describe is passive to issues where people can't afford to sit on the fence, thus they lack conviction.

Nah, you dudes have it backwards.

Politicians are trying to sway the votes of the moderates. They know they have their zealots behind them regardless. Moderates are the only ones that hold these ppl accountable. The extreme it's on each sides don't really care about the issues as much as they care about their side winning. It's fukking crazy.

The world needs more moderates. They need ppl that aren't easily swayed by flashing lights and fancy slogans

Blindly following and being swayed by a charismatic politician is why moderates are so easily exploited. Historically, moderates have been the worst groups of people because they just follow the masses, all it takes is a popular candidate and some moderate fool will be like ":ohhh:" and vote for them. They don't have a nuanced political stance and thus can be manipulated ala Trump.

People that have a well thought out political ideology don't follow politicians at all, they remain true to their political beliefs and if a politician represents their political ideology then they vote for them. Historically, it's been the "extremists" those with a secure political position that stood up oppression.

The passive nature of a moderate is a dangerous thing, saying they stand up to zealots and hold people accountable is blatantly wrong.

Standing for truth and accountability>>>blindly following someone regardless of what they do

Sounds more like a fukkin cult

But you're not following what someone's telling you to do, you hold a personal ideology that you follow. If anything, those with a defined political stance that is rational and for the benefit of humanity are the best types of people :ehh:

No, your problem is thinking moderates are passive. You are confused. Being wish washy with picking a party to vote for is NOT the same as being wishy washy with actual policies you believe in.
Many moderates have strong feelings about certain issues, they just don't always lean to the same side.

I'm all for gay rights, equal rights and a women's right to choose for example, but also stand strongly for smaller government, gun rights and some other conservative stances.

Extremists just don't understand that there is a middle ground, or even better.....there is plenty of gray area when it comes to policies on what is best for the country. Sticking to one party line just seems like it would be even worse for all.

Another thing you need to realize about most moderates is that they are usually more knowledgeable on the actual policies. Because they don't blindly toe the party line they actual try to understand the policies.

shyt, if this election showed anything it's that the extremisys don't even know what the hell the parties are even standing for.
Neither trump or Hillary supporters could name most of the policies they were for. Just mindless rhetoric.
