Cashman in justified in his reaction to A Rod ,,,, here is a timeline

Cashman has been on bad terms with A Rod ever since he opted out of that original 25 million a year dollar contract (which the texas rangers were paying about 15 million of it)

Then A Rod realized there were no proper suitors who would pay him that much money.... Yankees have all the leverage

A Rod then tells his agent Scott Boras to come crawl back to the yankees and sign a 10 year 275 million dollar contract in 2007.

Yankees under George Steinbrenner's control begin ... start bidding against themselves because they are drink with the money prospect that a clean A Rod could break Bond's career home run record.... (Yankees were like :ohlawd: at the future tickets and merchandise sales) no one else would have given him 27.5 million a year

Cashman must have been like :dahell: :snoop: the whole time.

Then in 2009, A Rod admits to PED use... the original basis for the contract is now :trash:

Cashman must have been like :comeon::aicmon:

A Rod since that 2009 world series has been looking :flabbynsick: ..... Cashman is like :beli:

A Rod caught up in another Steroid scandal ..... Cashman is like :demonic::pacspit: at A Rod.

That 27.5 million could have been spent on other areas which could help the team.

Yankees are trying to get under the189 million dollar payroll luxury tax and avoid the 30 million dollar penalty .... a voided A Rod contract or a buy out would easily save them.....

I ain't mad at A Rod personally... Yankees were stupid to give him that contract back in 2007 but I can see why Cashman has reasons to dislike this guy over the years
Cashman is just an innocent bystander in all of this huh? when they trade for alex , they know he could opt out? or nah.....lemme answer that for u .Yes they did. A-rod is a player, hes supposed to look out for himself and his family when it comes to business decisons....thats why opted out. more guaranteed years on the contract sounds like a no brainer to me.Cashman is a bytch

A-Rod's Reps: 'Bring It On And We Will See Major League Baseball In Federal Court'

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/rods-reps-bring-see-major-162200125.html

Representatives of Alex Rodriguez denied reports that they are negotiating the length of his suspension with Major League Baseball and claim that the real negotiations are happening between MLB and the New York Yankees, according to Stephen A. Smith of ESPN.
Appearing on ESPN's "SportsCenter" Saturday morning, Smith reported that A-Rod's camp reached out to him and "adamantly stated" that they are not negotiating with MLB.

"Alex Rodriguez' camp has adamantly stated, they are not negotiating, they don't care. They are waiting for Major League Baseball 'to bring it on.' Those were their words. 'And we will see them in Federal court. What are they waiting for? Stop talking us to death and bring on the suspension. Let's go.' These are their exact words."

Smith added that any negotiations between A-Rod and MLB are "non-existent." According to the representatives, the Yankees are trying to get Rodriguez' contract voided which means they want A-Rod banned for life and MLB is deciding whether or not to "acquiesce to the wishes of the New York Yankees."

Suspending Rodriguez for life would save the Yankees millions. In addition to the $90 million still owed to A-Rod, the suspension could help the Yankees get their payroll under the luxury tax threshold which would save the club an addition $10-20 million each year for the next several years.

Yea they knew he could opt out and they were prepared to move on without him in 2007.... from 2004 until 2007 excluding the first three games of the 2004 ALCS .... A Rod was abysmal in the postseason. Cashman was on record in saying on talk radio that year, the yankees were prepared to move on without A Rod (Cashman was more interested in building a world champion through pitching (Daisuke was available and Barry Zito was available) than A Rod beating the home run record) Read the Yankee Years: Joe Torre.

But the other Yankee execs especially Steinbrenner when A Rod began to crawl back when he realized no one else wanted him for that money .... saw dollar signs from the home run record and began bidding against themselves when they had all the leverage in negotiations, Torre and Cashman wanted no parts of A Rod after his performances in the post season in 2005 - 2007 and saw the opt out as a way to part ways with A Rod cause they saw him as a head case, even his teammates were calling him A- Fraud....... Cashman bit his tongue and did what he was supposed to do cause Steinbrenner was really running the show and wanted A Rod back because of the home run record.

I never said I was mad at A Rod... In his shoes..... I would have done the same thing.... I'm just letting people know that Cashman didn't start hating him out of nowhere..... it has been building up for about 10 years now......

A Rod has done things over the years as a Yankee alone, that if you were an yankee exec would leave you like :wtf: is wrong with this guy ...... If Steinbrenner was here in his full mental and physical capacity like he was in the 1970s - early 2000s, You would have heard much more venom towards A Rod than even what Cashman said recently....

I am not saying Cashman is a saint, Cashman is a guy who looks out for himself
........ always has been. He threw Joe Torre under the bus in 2007, It really wasn't Torre's fault why the team kept on cjoking in the postseason but how they assembled team, big priced free agents with no character and grit, (bypassing the formula that made the yankees a success in the late 90s (character free agents and home grown talent)), the crown jewel of this useless splurge being number 13 A Rod.

This the shyt I`m waiting for.

On to Cashman, he should be fired and he is unprofessional, but let's not act like he wanted A-Rod back after he opted out. Cashman didn`t want him and made the right call to let him bounce. He was overruled by his boss and now it's blowing up in his face, and he has to handle all the bullshyt, because the Stenburners are too p*ssy to deal with their mistake.

Braun is a p*ssy and I`m glad A-Rod is fighting back. That said if the Brewers want to ditch Braun, I`ll gladly take him in Queens.

arod won the team a ring in 2009 so I guess he is gritty huh . Alot of Arods teammates like arod posada , mo Etc . And the bottomline is to act professional cashman telling people to shut the fukk up and constantly hating on arod on the radio is all him ! He can simply be quiet stop doing so much extra stuff ,he actually turned arod into a sympathetic figure . A guy who has public mistress issues shouldn't be out in the press trying to bury arod it looks like a personal vendetta
